It's bad enough that the show companies are telling prep academies and summer/AAU teams who can play who, now it's messing with the high school season.
I realize the shoes companies provide a ton of financial support, etc. but they need to chill and let the kids play. Just because some Nike team plays a <gasp> Reebok team or whatever, neither company is gonna sell any more or less of their overpriced sneakers.
We don't need to see regular-season high-school coaches bowing down to this crap, too.
In any case, no team should be backing out of any game they have had scheduled for 11 months, unless maybe one gets invited to a big national tourney, like Hoophall, etc.
Me and Coach already talked. This was a situation that was initiated without my involvement. Me and Coach Woo will find a solution for sure. It's bad enough that the show companies are telling prep academies and summer/AAU teams who can play who, now it's messing with the high school season.
