It's odd -- apparently CIF has never been formally approached about allowing teams to play. There's some precedent in other sports, I've heard, of allowing team to extend their seasons.

The announcement will be Tuesday, and the event will be in Fort Myers FL.

wasnt it about basketball has to be done by a certain date and this tournament was after it?

Many participants have asked for a waiver on that rule, and there's no indication CIF would summarily turn it down. But no one has asked ...
