This is what you get for $2.4 Million a year?
Look in the mirror coach....Baylor just beat you by 16 at your house
How many times does he say I screwed up....this game is on me
How many All-Americans do you have on your team?

I know you have no idea how to coach, let alone coach a basketball team.. but seriously, you have the most misappropriated judgments on what a coach is responsible for and why. Please elaborate on why he should take responsibility for this loss?

And I only had to watch 2 minutes of this video to understand that your title is very very misleading in regards to what he actually said.

Get a life Dave

At what minute mark does he call them a dummy? I will fast forward to that point of the video when you provide it. But to add to this topic, Geno has 11 National Championships!! UConn was #1 coming into this game against the defending national champs. Are you really gonna say losing to a physically and athletically gifted Baylor team means Geno sucks? Yes, he may be arrogant as hell but he doesn't suck as a coach.
Who mercy-ruled a team you coached so frequently that now you hate all great teams with great coaches and find inner joy in seeing them lose?

Different teams, different situations call for different approaches. Some teams/individuals need praise and support, but even those teams/individuals need to be called out on occasion. And by the way, Baylor has a lot more depth and talent ...

you cant be soft and go play for Geno or Kim Mulkey. they tell you how it is with zero F's given. you will transfer before they feel sorry for you.

He's never coached a day of basketball in his life... he's a washed up, out of shape "personal trainer" from the YMCA.. those are the facts, I could go on about my opinion of him but it's friday and I'm in a good mood

Thank you. I didn't doubt that he called them dummies, I just didn't want to watch an entire video to get to the point.
He says it in jest to belabor the point of how young they are. Not to insult them, not really even to motivate them. This is a nonissue created by Dave

Agreed. All coaches have different methods. Geno is a great coach and the proof is in the pudding. Don't know why becoolpt55 is always so negative. I really hope becoolpt55 he has something encouraging happen for him that opens up his perspective on things.

Uconn was highly overrated this last season. They just did not have the talent they usually do. They were entirely out of their league when they faced Baylor, South Carolina and Oregon. The only other top 20 team the faced was Depaul who was a favorable matchup for them because they were a short team that shot from the outside. Uconn just did not have any post depth to speak of and I would have placed them between 8 and 10 even being generous.

Geno did a good job with what he had to work with. Those two top recruits from the season before were overrated. Wiliams especially.
