Does anyone know if Carondelet still competes for a league title? Since they are in a "independent league". That whole thing is so confusing

I personally don't know. I would guess they would not be competing for the league title being that they are not playing the same league schedule as the rest of the league. But Clay, or one of the veteran commentators, would most likely have a more definite answer.

My understanding is that Carondelet is out of the league picture entirely, except that it receives the EBAL's automatic entry into NCS. (This is not a big deal, really, as at least four other EBAL teams will qualify as well. The only difference is that Carondelet is guaranteed a first-round home game, and no other EBAL team will now have that guarantee.)

Carondelet does play each EBAL team once, as part of the agreement it reached with the league and NCS, but those games do not count in the league standings.

At least that's how I think it works ...

That is correct.

EBAL scores from Tuesday:

Cal 66 - SRV 54
C-Let 58 - DV 32
MV 52 - Livermore 48
Dublin 54 - AV 43
Foothill 56 - Granada 45

Senior Gabby Edmonds had 17 points and 11 rebounds for Cal High in its win over SRV.

Good win for Salesian tonight. Pecking order in NorCal is continuing to hold.
