Gotta love that "rah rah" in coach Dabo Swinney.

A real players coach that showed high school players you don't have to be a "dictator" type coach for a lack of a better word to win championships. Wish Joe Ngata well and he has picked a great coached to play for on the college level. Wouldn't be surprised if Najee Harris transferred from Bama after the kid was held back from scoring in his state of California from the 1 inch line tonight. Has to be a very disappointing night as well as season for the young man. Wish him well moving forward if he stays at Bama or not. That said, it was great seeing Saban get his tail handed to him tonight. How bout that SEC! LOL

Clemson just plays defense different than most southern teams you see a lot of sec teams play vanilla defense and just rely on its front 4 Clemson defense is more exotic while also having a good front 4. Seeing Clemson you could only imagine what usc could be if they ever get a coach that’ll make those 4/5 star kids play with a chip on their shoulder

Not going to say his name but Clemson owned a well decorated lineman from Folsom last night. NFL stock went so far into the drain I don't see him getting out of before the 3rd round now. And btw, did anyone know Bama has 3 O lineman from California?

Excellent coach. But hell figure it out like pete carroll and saban and others. Your coaching staff gets offered big time jobs. And keeping continuity not only with players who come in and out. But coaching turnover is really a big deal. Sabans O line coach, Oregon. DC @ Georgia, etc... Sweeny will face multiple offers himself, as well as staff. That plays a big role in recruiting. Also elite exection. Clemsons staff is excellent. But theyll soon depart as soon as more major offers come in.

He will not be there in the 3rd round unless he pops for drugs or beats a women. I would be surprised if he lasts into the second frankly.

How much you want to bet he’s a top 15 pick?

Clemson offensively next year with Lawrence, Etienne, Ross and add Ngata at the other WR is going to be scary. The key will be replacing that front 4 D-Line. Alabama returns alot of their key offensive skilled guys and usually reloads so wouldnt be surprised if this is Clemson-Alabama V next year.

Their staff doesn’t want to part ways. The dc gets like 2 mill to only concentrate on defense Clemson is here to stay

Ngata lol man he’s good but he’s not gonna steal reps or balls from any of them he’s too slow he probably was the most underwhelming wr prospect in that all American game Oklahoma will have the best wr core followed by usc

Different level of football with those two programs. Neither are going anywhere as long as Dabo and Saban stick around.

Even with a tough game, I don't think Jonah falls out of the first round. He will show well in the pre draft process

I read that Ngata has already enrolled at Clemson. Wishing him the best. He will have to bring it at Clemson. He has all of the physical attributes to be successful. His success will depend on how hard he works, how much horse power he has in his motor, and overall health.

Totally agree with you that Ngata will have to bring it at Clemson if he wants to see the field. Not only did Dabo pluck the best receiver in NorCal he also plucked one of the best receivers in the state of Florida Frank Ladson. So Ngata may not see the field as a starter until his junior year and at best his sophomore year. Being the best WR on campus has quickly changed for him and now he's going to have to step his game up in order to compete with playing time.
Don’t be scared to put your money where your mouth is
Like I said, you can thank me later for not taking your money. I don't want it and don't need it so stop trying to give it to me on this thread in which the thread is not about. This thread is about Dabo being a "players coach" as well as players in general but it's not about you giving away your money. Why don't you give it to a homeless organization which is what I would do with it.

Well if telling the truth about a well decorated Folsom lineman has become a brash statement to YOU than I'm sorry you took it that way. I was under the impression this is a grown man FOOTBALL site not a kiddie one. I'll keep the kid gloves on next time so I don't ruffle your feathers. Now I'll put some substance behind this and you can do what you want with it. The kid will not be in the top fifteen on draft day. Bank that before I take your money. I bank with CHASE....

This site for the most part is packed with geldings. These knocks get their feelings hurt when you don’t agree with them, or critical of their teams/coaches, talk about a topic they don’t agree with you name it. Careful what you say or they’ll run to the hall monitor and have you banished.

Huh? Honestly not sure how to respond to this. For one my post was clear. I said “for the most part” I did not say “everybody here” and I certainly didn’t name you or point to anybody in praticular. You did however step up to the plate and demonstrate exactly what I was eluded too. Look if it’s not you, then my perception shouldn’t bother you in the least, capisce?

Well that lineman Williams out of folsom dominated that San Diego team in a runaway. He was legit from the beginning. I think he had only a handful of losses his whole high school and collegiate career.

You called @FootballJunkie101 out pretty hard. And, to his credit, he remained emphatic and unwavering in his opinion. However, because of that, it only seems right that he show up in this thread to eat crow. I mean, predicting 3rd round at best and he ends up 11? SMH.

Junkie's prediction of Joe Ngata is looking worse and worse by day too -- especially considering the glowing reports from Spring.

Been in hibernation boys. Just coming up for air. Yes, I was totally off base on this one due to a spare of the moment statement. So here's my best impression or take on how I feel. "Win some lose some".

As much as it may seem like I was willing to accept MC415 bet, make no mistake there was NO chance of that happening. I give credit to MC415 on his pinpoint projection in regards to the decorated player. However, I stand by my original statement on his performance against the Clemson DL he struggled against. That said, I wish the young man a bright future in the NFL.

*Thunder, what's the status on Joe Ngata? I'm expecting him to have a solid college career. Is that not happening as of yet? Thanks for any info on him. Like I said, I've been in hibernation and haven't been on the boards lately. So any news would be greatly appreciated. FJ101

Nevermind. I just went on Clemson football board and saw Ngata's spring highlights. He looks like he belongs there. I'm rooting for the kid and hope he proves me wrong. Happy to see him out shinning the Florida recruit. Cali against everybody. We want the smoke.

Welcome back bro!

To be clear, I wasn't calling you out but I did understand why @MC415 was the proverbial elephant that never forgets once I re-read through the thread.

As I said, props to you for sticking to your guns the entire time and now owning up to it and eating a bit of crow. Sounds easy, but isn't always that way.

I'm very confident in my knowledge of most any sport and have been following for over 40 years. But I know I'm wrong all the damn time! Even Doctors and expert scientists are frequently wrong. It happens to everyone! No shame it that at all.
