I decided to take advantage of last's night's postponement and relocation and made the drive out to Rutherford Stadium tonight. Both team's are 2-0 coming in. Sparse crowd so far, but nice atmosphere. Teams just finished warmups and kickoff should be shortly. I'll provide updates when I can.

The Knights received the opening KO and drove inside the 5 by converting a 4th and 2 at the Pacers 40. A chop block penalty negated a TD a few plays later and the Pacers eventually held on 4th and goal from the 4 1/2.

0-0, Pacers with the ball.

Grant punted after only 1 first down and Bullard is driving again. They just converted a 4th and 1 at the Pacers 13 to start the 2nd quarter.

That was a quick 1st quarter, as the Pacers only had 1 possession and the Knights are still on their 2nd.

Bullard just scored on a 7 or 8 yard run. XP good.

Bullard 7, Grant 0 - 11 min. to go until half.

The Knights have hurt the Pacers with the sprint pass.

Pacers dropped a 3rd down pass near midfield and were forced to punt. Bullard takes over at their 28.

Thanks for the updates, looks like Grant has some competition in Bullard. I wanted to go to this game too but I was undecided.

Sorry guys -- my battery is nearly dead and this website keeps wigging out on me.

Grant just tied the score at 14 with 5 minutes remaining in the 3rd.

They scored on a 27-yd TD pass to Gerald Brown on their first possession and Deshawn Collins just ran it in from 25-yards out.

After a Knights fumble inside their own 30, the Pacers capitalize with a 1-yd QB keeper.

Grant leads 21-14 with 4 minutes to go.

ThunderRam. Battery almost dead, no problem. Just ask the teenage gal sitting in front of you who's been texting all night, if you can borrow her iPhone. Tell her your great-grandmonther broke her elbow churning icecream the old fashion way and that she is just about to have arm surgery and you need to check-up on her every few plays or so. This gal will no doubt understand about a great-grandson's relationship with his grandmother, she'll think it's really sweet of you to be so concerned about great-granny, and she'll practically force her iPhone on you. It will also give her a legit reasons (and a great texting story) to post to all her followers on FaceBook. So there you have it, you get a battery-loaded iPhone and you can keep posting game updates to those of us who would never send text messages during a hsfootball game, unless the text was an update! Go Pacers! Go herwoo! Go ThunderRam! Muds

Grant has some dudes!
Great game to watch. I dont get to watch many hs games in person. Game came down to the very end, funny watching the bullard fans listening to the pacer fans on their side.

It's a Muds sighting! Awesome. Wish I had thought of your suggestion. Next time.

Just got back home from the game. It was a tale of 2 halves. Bullard had the Pacers reeling down 14-0 at half. They were eating up clock and dictating pace. But Grant came out the 2nd half and put a real nice drive together to close the gap to 14-7. The defense finally held tight and forced a punt. The Pacers went right down the field and evened the score at 14. The winning score was setup by a 1st down fumble deep in Knights territory. The Pacers took the lead for good and held off the Knights last ditch efforts.

This website was hiccuping and lost some of the posts I had made during the game. C'est la vie.

BTW, I think I was a bit of good luck for the Pacers as the 1st two times I used my tablet to capture some video - they scored touchdowns!

Thanks to Pacer Nation for good time tonight! It was fun. Great game.

While I was happy to see Grant get this win, That pass interference call on 4th down on Bullard in the end zone looked like a questionable call from me and a couple of the guys around me. I was very happy Grant made this comeback but hated to see this game decided by a questionable call near the end. Did anybody else see this play?

Yes -- and I thought it was the proper call. The defender didn't turn around to locate the ball. Regardless, that penalty didn't at all decide the game.

Yes, I couldn't really tell for sure since it was over on the other side of the field. My eyesight isn't as good as it once was.
