If my short-term memory serves me (increasingly rare these days), North is 4-1 and Casa is 0-2.

Marin Catholic lost to Urban by 12 in its opener, and I’m told Logan lost by about the same to Dublin, but it’s not on MaxPreps. Instead, Maxpreps show what must have been a scrimmage loss by 22 to Amador Valley.

Interestingly, Marin Catholic shows 19 players on their roster, including two freshmen. Their end of the court during warmups is quite crowded.

It’s Campo’s season debut, and Alameda is 1-2, with a win over American Canoyon, a 10-point loss to Grant, and a somewhat mystifying 6-point loss to Oakland Tech. Did Oakland Tech lay a bit of an egg and escape with an ugly win, or did Alameda play huge?

Will be interesting to see here…

Cougs with an excellent, under-control press break, Rendle fouled, 2 shots. Bingo, bango!! Cougs by 7.

Moore drive baseline, fouled.. FT nope, FT nope! Rendle rebound, fouled immediately. still 46-39.

FT’s both good…. 48-39. Long Ala 3, nope! Rendle rebound, fouled…. 2 FT’s. Miss, make… 49-39…. Moore with a longgggggg 3… NO!! Cougs win!! 49-39.

Last one tonight is the host Montgomery vs. a very badly overmatched Ukiah team. I figure I’ll be leaving at the half.

When I left, both teams were playing the far ends of their benches mid-2nd quarter. I guess they just tossed the ball around in the 2nd half; the final was only 54-39.
