First player from section since Sara James (Oak Ridge) to commit to the Cardinal.

Jzaniya is a terrific young lady. Phenomenal basketball player, but even a better student with a 4.7 GPA. We are all extremely happy for Jzaniya and her family and very proud of her.

Stanford is the best overall basketball school in the country. They're always in the top 10, they send players to the WNBA, and academically (like the previous post said), there is no comparison. Getting a degree from Stanford can easily get you 30% more than almost any other school and gets bumped to the top of the resumes because of the name. It's no wonder why more ladies don't choose to go there. Geno is the man and has built an amazing thing at UConn, but two different priorities and definitely different students. Congrats!
