Here we go playoffs brackets out

Hmm. Maybe the SJS should introduce this format for SJS D1 and call it the pseudo Folsom Rule? With Folsom pretty much dominating SJS D1 section championships (like DLS has been for NCS Open/D1) it would assure the 2nd best SJS D1 team to have a CIF regional playoff birth, pretty much ensuring Folsom is always in the CIF regional/state playoffs should they not win a SJS D1 section championship. Or even apply this at the NorCal regional playoffs to determine Open rep and runner-up play for a NorCal D1AA state playoff spot?

does it have DLS and Pitt face off in semis as 1 and 2 seeds?

How does that make sense ??
Misinterpretated. DLS and Pitt winning their opening game will play for the NCS Open championship. Winner is declared NCS Open champion and moves onto CIF regional playoffs (most likely D1AA). The loser of the NCS Open championship game moves on to play the winner of the bracket of teams #3 thru #6 for the NCS D1 championship.

In the end, one team will be declared NCS Open champion and one team will be declared NCS D1 champion, ensuring the top 2 teams out of this overall bracket of 8 teams are moved onto a NorCal regional playoff game.

Again, NCS Open champion (which in the past would be DLS and given the NorCal Open game) will most likely get a bid for NorCal D1AA regional championship game (winner gets CIF D1AA NorCal playoff spot) and NCS D1 champion also gets a NorCal regional championship game (in past would be the D1AA game), more than likely the D1A NorCal regional championship game (or D2AA NorCal regional championship game).

Hope that helps clear any confusion.

MC has got to be 56 point favorites against Newark Memorial in the first round of D4. CN at Acalanes in round 2 should be a good one.

Head scratcher with Montgomery getting in D3 at 8 Seed at 3-6 over 6-3 Ukiah who beat #6 Casa Grande and 5-5 Hayward. Why is Marin Catholic in D4 and we have too many divisions. It might be 42-0 in 1st qtr

Okay, in all seriousness, let's look at the rule without mentioning DLS or Folsom. It's not that crazy of an idea and it benefits the section that uses it. One of the top teams who would normally be knocked out gets to keep playing and representing the section. The team who loses the Open bracket STILL has to win the D1 championship game, so it's not a given.

I'm not actively advocating for it, but I don't hate it.

MC covered the 56 pt. spread.
Final 69-0. The clock did however eventually run out.

yup they were running out freshman and JV call ups from the 2nd quarter on poor Newark Memorial had no business being there. Like I said you can make 8, 12 or 16 team bracket by eliminating the 2-4 division and make it 1

campo
MC
El cerrito
Rancho
Windsor
CN
San Marin
Miramonte
Vintage
American canyon
Foothill
Amador Valley

top 4 get byes that be a competitive NCS division right there

Yikes.
well we have some good ones this week.
Newman vs Acalanes and Rancho vs Campo.
I think Acalanes over newman 38-24.
Rancho and Campo too close to call. Tossup but I wouldn’t be surprised if cougars win on the road.

No Del Norte in there? .................. HDN gets no respect ......... Don't get me wrong I don't think they belong at the top of this list by no means ...... but I do believe they should be on this list.

I was debating this, but they have such a small enrollment I would put them #1 or #2 in D5 with San Marin…….they are going to give MC a fight they are physical as heck

I think Del Norte is legit, year in and year out. I think they'll give MC all they can handle on Saturday.

They’re going to copy San Marin blueprint and crowd the line and bring 8 in the box all game and make Cook best then they the air, I do like MC front 7 against most running teams and I think DN is a run heavy team
