Heritage names new head coach

Heritage has named Dave Fogelstrom as its new head coach.

Does anyone have any info on him?

Good guy! I’m happy they chose Dave. Sanders just never had enough fire to make Heritage a viable playoff team. With the old Freedom staff now on board things should get interesting in Brentwood

I really like this hire. Especially with the quality of assistants he is surrounding himself with. My only question would be, can they compete with what Liberty has/is currently doing? The talent that the lions continue to get, would lead me to believe that Heritage ceiling is still battling for #3 in the BVAL with Freedom and Antioch. Anyone know who they have preseason?

Ya it really depends on him and whether he can sell the validity of the program. The Heritage basketball and baseball programs have done a real good job at attracting kids from Antioch and Pittsburg, so it will be interesting if he can get the newer school (Heritage) to out recruit the older school (Liberty) in town. Bringing in Hartwig will only work so much.

But it can be done. Especially with Liberty losing a couple of coaches after last season in Butterfield and their defensive coordinator.
