I think many people are putting Heritage and Carondelet automatically in the Championship. But I think Heritage vs Mt. Eden could be a pretty good game. And of course I don't think Carondelet should overlook American or anyone else. Any thoughts?
Muse had a great game, as did #24 Sweeney for the Patriots. #14 Jackson for Mt. Eden was also super and may have been the best player on the floor as they gave Heritage all they could handle. Great game.
Without knowing much about this year's Berkeley or Heritage teams, I'll "place my bet" on Berkeley. I'm not sure how they do it year after year, but they always seem to play their best during the playoffs.
Castro Valley's problem, from what I've seen, is inconsistent scoring. They're physical, athletic and have decent size, but on some nights, they just can't make shots. If Wednesday is one of those nights, Carondelet should have no trouble; but if the outside shots fall for CV, it could be a very interesting game.
I could see the game going either way. Berkeley will have to keep the turnovers down and slow down Jordan Sweeney. It also sounds like being accountable for Muse inside will need to be a priority. I'm not sure who the go to key players are on Berkeley, but they will need to play well. Heritage will need to have scouted and prepared for Berkeley as well if they are to win. I don't know much about Berkeley this year either. But they are known for bringing a good effort. As I said, it should be an interesting game. A game either team could win.
CamAca,
What is your take on Castro Valley's chances of going into Carondelet and pulling the upset?
