Why is there ZERO media coverage of the games at Hartnell? I realize it’s D4 not the open but I find it strange that nobody is covering? Especially since there are 2 peninsula teams in the final 4. Gas prices too high?

Too much competition closer to Bay Area media outlets. Isn't Santa Cruz Sentinel and/or Monterey Herald covering? How about the HMB Review, soon to be under fresh ownership? Don't expect the SM Daily Journal to trek all the way to Salinas for D4 games. Too much going on in Silicon Valley and that's right in the DJ wheelhouse. You could say the same thing about D1 girls where three PAL-South teams fill out four semifinal slots.

Salinas is quite a trek for all but the most hardcore of fans / media. Also the matchups haven't been too interesting but at least the top four seeds have made it to the semis so I imagine that interest will perk up.

If it's a HMB vs. Jefferson final, it would not be a shock to see that tilt shifted northeast to a neutral venue like Foothill College. The site may also depend on the DIV girls' matchup which is now guaranteed to be an all-San Mateo County affair.

Oh, one more thing: CCS soccer playoffs are underway as well. They deserve some media attention too.
