Nevada has also cancelled basketball but did approve football. Completely ridiculous to deem football to be safer because it's outdoors than basketball and volleyball. Let the kids have their season.
Perfectly said. Thank youThey must think these kids are stupid. You mean to tell me that football is somehow "safer" than basketball? Let the kids play basketball. Let me guess. My comments are insensitive blah blah blah. I'm over it. I don't care. This is a joke. The virus has virtually no impact on young kids. If you are worried then leave your grandma and grandpa at home and have them watch the game from their couch. If you are concerned your kid will get the virus than don't let them play. Doubt any parent does. Lastly, get the kids back in school and teachers start teaching again.
Not so much. To say nobody will be harmed is wishful thinking.Perfectly said. Thank you
The arena it is played in is safer. Not the actual activity. However, kids being stupid is okay. It is the parents who think it is no big deal who are the real concerns. Simply leaving grandma and pa at home sure, but what about when the kid lives with grandma and pa? The teachers do not want to be back in school either. 75% of the teachers do not care if basketball is played. Now I do agree that somehow games should be played, but to simply say leave grandma at home is the answer is no it chief. They must think these kids are stupid.
