JBA

The announcing really was comical. At least the 3 minutes of it that I watched! I like how they said they could feel the vibe in the crowd behind them! All 12 of them I guess...

Its def bad ball. Almost comical. But the younger BALL (Lamelo) can play. He's filling out and looks to be getting near 6"6. Its too bad he comes with all the baggage. You wonder will he ever play in the NBA or just be a traveling road show across the globe? Talent is there. But as we all know that is only a fraction of the whole.

I agree Larry, I was very impressed with Lamelo, especially considering he is by far the youngest in that league. A junior in high school playing against guys who got recruited to go play college ball.

My guess is he will get drafted in 2020, but I could see him being a second round pick. That years high school class is JAM PACKED with talent, including James Wiseman, Vernon Carey Jr., Jaden McDaniels.

That. Was. Ugly. Bad basketball, with even worse announcers.

The basketball was bad but my god those announcers made me watch the game on mute after the first 2 minutes. I only watched like 10 minutes total but those guys have no reason to be announcers, not their field.

Honestly, seeing Lamelo having that kind of body, athleticism and skill level it makes me sad to see it being wasted in the JBA. Who knows what his NBA chances are with the way things are going but man I wanted to see this kid play against the best high school teams in the nation, play D1 college basketball not playing against people under his league. It's kind of like seeing an NBA player who makes it to the NBA on natural skill and has an underwhelming career.

I was on board with Lavar for like a year until he started going ape shit and ending up in Lithuana. Gelo had no real chance at the NBA regardless but man that boy could use some education, who knows what he does now. Melo had real NBA talent, but who knows if he gets a shot after not playing real basketball for 3-4 years before the draft.

Agree with you guys. The kid has so much talent. He shoots it well, understands the game, and instincts off the charts. You can't really teach a lot of what he has. For every mistake he makes it seems like he makes 3 or 4 good plays. If he was in HS still it would be silly and I don't care who he was playing against. (sierra canyon, MD, Oak Hill etc) I look at upside and he has a high ceiling.
I'm pulling for these kids. Would like to see them succeed even with the pops who is a tad out there.... (although he does say a lot of things I tend to side with)
