Just got home from first day of practice. It's on!

How is Del Oro looking this year?

Should be very good. The seniors have really never lost as a group and they have a group of juniors that were 9-1 last season as a JV squad (lost to Folsom)

Coaching changes continue with a new DC (been with program for awhile ) who is changing schemes and alignments and an evolving offense that started changing last season.

HC is in second year with some veteran coaches no longer there but many remain.

Best group of athletes in a long time at DO but things around them are evolving so should be very interesting year. Very deep at receiver and DB’s. Solid line with some real athletes, not big but strong and fast.

Nobody is going to even sniff Folsom in the SFL but I expect DO to contend for 2nd place with Oak Ridge, maybe Grant with Rocklin in the mix too.

I look forward to seeing them play this year!

ya’ll right, 2 classes like that ya’ll betta win every game, ok maybe not folsom, they’all another level

Yea, they’re not beating Folsom. The seniors have beaten Folsom at the JV level and in juniors but the Juniors have not. Folsom is 3 + TD’s better but the goal is always the playoffs not winning league.

Folsom likely have more transfers that weren’t in the program back then so they are flat out on another level than any team in the SFL.

Ya’ll got that right, nobody in same level as folsom and jv wins don’t mean much

Agreed, I made the comment only in that this group of seniors has beaten Folsom more than once so they'll be confident they can give them a game. Knowing you have had success against the same laundry in the past, helps.

Regardless, it will be a whooping but likely not like last season!

Their offense has never really been an issue. At least not when Casey Taylor was there. It's been their defensive scheme against the spread. Glad to hear they are changing things up on that side of the ball.

Ya’ll right on, del oro defense never stop spread, folsom diced em up always, still gotta score points and new guy aint real good, got better near end of season, we’ll see
