Not sure how many games he has played this year (doesn't show up in season stats), but definitely adds a talented player for Mission

He is either a transfer or wasn’t academically eligible the first half of season. Looks like he could help the Bears on another run in Norcals. Not sure of new playoff structure. If they will be moved up or stay in D 3. Read an earlier post, in which you stated Mission will definitely be moved up.

He was a transfer. He was supposedly at Woodstock Prep out on the east coast to start the season.

@ SHC as freshman transfer to El Cerrito sophomore year

Exit’s EC and transfers to prep school after sophomore year

Reclassified from junior back to a sophomore this year at prep school

Mid year 2018 transfers from prep school to Mission and is playing as a junior?

High School Basketball is crazy man. Kid can play, wonder where he will play next season.

Unless he's the issue. For the record, I don't know that he is. I know nothing of the kid.

May be a JR academically but he's a SR as far as basketball eligibility. Only get 4 to play 4

The acquisition of this very talented young man ensures Mission High a 4th straight AAA Championship and a very deep NorCal run. The existing Mission Team Members all grew up with Smitty and the adjustment was pretty smooth. He’s in the 11th Grade.

I saw nothing special about the kid when he was on varsity freshman year at SH. Nothing really stood out other than he was a 6'1" PG. There was nothing really stopping him from take the keys and driving the team. Other PG play was really inconsistent throughout. Smith's sister was a model contributor to the girl's teams and she stuck with SH all the way through. Not sure why the brother couldnt do the same. I'm just an outsider. I know nothing anyways. Hope the kid is able to have a solid season wherever he goes.

He's interesting. I always talk with his father and Kamiri always says hello and shakes my hand. I believe he has the ability to be really good, but obviously staying in one place would help.

Don't know if they are trying to get a very rare exemption to play next year. I'll find out.

He is a junior. Yes, one year at SH, soph at El Cerrito (not sure he played), this fall in CT. Back in City (his junior year). Yes, too bad he cant stay still though seems like a very nice young man. Does have some talent. Like a lot of kids, I am sure Zelaya will get the most out of him.
