Friday/Sat. there is a lot on the line for a number of teams that need to win to get a good or better position on the playoffs. Also there are four big games to be played.....Amador Valley vs foothill, Monte Vista vs San Ramon Valley, Antioch vs Pittsburg which is the game of the week and Piedmont vs Alameda.
If Amador Valley wins they are tied for first place, but will be the champs by beating Foothill...If Foothill wins, they are the champ with no league looses. If Monte vista wins and Amador Valley looses, we have a tie for second place.
Piedmont and Alameda are both 4-0 and the winner gets the crown for the West Alameda Shoreline league.. The game of the week sports Antioch invading Pittsburg on Saturday at 1:30 P.m....will it be a royal shoot out or will a defensive game take place...both teams know how to score, so there is going to be fire works and not like the Campolindo-Miramonte game..so be prepared for some serious football..

California 4-2/6-3 at DLS 8-1.....DLS 41 California 10..This will be a super test for the Grizzlies???...will they be able to score against a stingy Spartan defense and will the defense be able to contain the DLS offense???
Washington 4-2/5-4 at Logan 6-3.....Logan 44 Washington 13...The Colts finish off the regular schedule with a easy win over the Huskies...
GAMES OF INTEREST
American and Moreau Catholic are tied at 4-1 in the Mission Valley league, but American beat MC 27-20, so American is the league champ unless they loose to Newark on Friday night..
El Cerrito 3-1/4-5 at Hercules 1-3/6-3.....El Cerrito 39 Hercules 20....the gaucho's keep getting better and better and should roll over the titans..
San Leandro 4-0/5-4 at Tennyson 4-0/8-1.....San Leandro 28 Tennyson 13.....This is the show down fro first place and the crown for the West alameda Foothill League.
Piedmont 4-0/7-2 at Alameda 4-0/6-3.....Piedmont 32 Alameda 20....Again....This is also a show down for the league champ and crown for the West Alameda Shoreline League.

Salesian 2-2/4-5 at St. Mary's of Albany 4-0/6-3 at 1:30 P.M......St, Mary's 41 Salesian 28.....this is one of those games that could go either way, but St. Mary's should prevail...

Amador Valley 4-1/7-2 at Foothill 5-0/9-0.....Foothill 32 Amador Valley 28...this is a back yard battle and if AV wins, they are tied for first place with foothill, but AV will be the champ with the a win over Foothill.. this could be a hairy contest as there is a lot at stake.....
Granada 0-5/3-6 at Livermore 0-5/3-6.....Granada 38 Livermore 26....the winner stays out of the basement....
Monte vista 3-2/6-3 at San Ramon Valley 2-3/3-6.....Monte vista 41 San Ramon Valley 28...still another crosstown battle which the Mustangs have to win...If MV wins and Amador Valley looses, we have a tie for 2nd place, If AV wins they are the league champs and MV moves to 3rd place....

Campolindo 5-0/8-1 at Acalanes 2-3/3-6.....Campolindo 44 Acalanes 19..the Cougars flexed their muscles last week with a shutout of Miramonte 37-0 and the don's are next.
LasLomas 0-5/1-8 at Alhambra 2-3/5-4......Alhambra 28 Las Lomas 21.....this is a must win for the /bulldogs to get a better spot in the playoffs and the Knights won't be easy...
Dublin 3-2/7-3 at Miramonte 4-1/8-1.....Miramonte 34 Dublin 28.....This could be a tough game for the Mat's as the face a team who also wants a better spotin the playoff.s

Heritage 0-4/3-6 at Deer Valley 0-4/3-6......Deer Valley 37 Heritage 27.....The looser stays in the basement, and no body wants that...the wolverines can score and the Patriots can rise for the occasion, should be a real battle..
Liberty 2-2/4-5 at Freedom 2-2/5-4.....Freedom 38 Liberty 34....Another back yard battle...who wins get the bragging rights and the Liberty Bell.....

Antioch 4-0/9-0 at Pittsburg 4-0/801.....Antioch 41 Pittsburg 38...this game could go either way and it come down to who can hold down the other team on defense or who can outscore the other...let the fire works begin and the team who scores last should win.....

If AV wins, then MV drops to 4th place if they beat SRV and 5th place if they lose, as they would lose the head to head tiebreaker with Cal at 4-2 or SRV at 3-3.
If AV loses and MV wins, then its a 3-way tie for 2nd with those 2 and Cal as they all split with each other and lost to Foothill.

The BVAL and EBAL titles are at stake this week. Huge games. The winners of those game will most likely be the #2 and $3 seeds at NCS.
Plus, the losers of those games will most likely be slotted in the #4 & #5 spots on the DLS side of the playoff bracket.
Its possible MV could go to #4 with a Pitt loss and if MV & Foothill both win. Pitt would then be at #5 with AV all the way down to #6.
Can't see Foothill or Antioch sliding down past #4 or #5 if they lose.

Miramonte loves to pass. Dublin's defense is best against the pass. Something's got to give. Dublin
DL is pretty stout:

Dublin will run the ball, eat clock and limit the Matadors offensive touches. The Mat's top receiver is gone so it will be really tough for them this week against the best defense in the DFAL this year. Let's play. A win for Dublin solidifies the 10 seed. A loss they drop to 11. Either way they will see Freedom or Amador Valley, both good match ups for them.

I agree with Trivalley as without Their top receiver there passing game is lacking. I think they attempt to give more carries to Stehr, but the Dublin defense is solid. Wouldnt be surprised to see a grind out win for Dublin 21-17 or something of that sorts. Bluedog, you simply have no confidence in the bulldogs despite their back to back victories. If they win big, look for them to be rolling come playoff time.

Yes it is still the same Friday night format. Heard the Pitt Frosh beat ANtioch yesterday and finished undefeated. Heard the team is stacked.
