There has been a shuffle of teams between three leagues......Solano League, Monticello empire league and Sonoma league.....And we have a new movement for 2018 on the way.
SOLANO LEAGUE
American Canyon
Vanden
Vallejo
Bethel
Benicia
Fairfield
Next year, Benicia moves to join Miramonte and Co. for one...But take a look at the preseason games of some of the league teams....American Canyon faces 11-3 inderkum on 9-8, Benicia meets 7-5 Concord on 9-2,Bethel has a date with 10-2 Kennedy of Richmond on 8-25 and 8-3 North Gate on 9-15, plus 13-3 St. Pats-St. Vincent on 9-29, Vallejo takes on St. Pat-St.Vincent on 9-1....plus Vanden visits 9-3 Miramonte on 8-25 and then its 12-2 Sacramento on 9-9... For the toughest game of the preseason I'd say it would be American Canyon meeting Inderkum as they are going to be hard to beat. Who is going to take the championship, it looks like Vanden followed by Benicia and American Canyon.
MONTICELLO EMPIRE
Vacaville
Armijo
Napa
Vintage
Rodriguez
Wood
The preseason for ME's league teams that stand out are Napa facing10-2 Pittman on8-25 and then on 9-22 its 11-3 Pleasant Valley.....Rodriguez will have its hands full against 8-3 North Gate on9-22,
Vacaville will be real busy with a rising team of 4-6 Liberty on 8-25, this team has many returning, plus a very good JV team to feed off....And then its 12-3 Oakridge on 9-1,8-4 Yuba City on 9-8 and another real battle with9-2 Pittsburg in an away game. Vintage takes on 11-2 American Canyon on 9-1 and Wood faces 11-2 American Canyon on 9-15.......Who is going to take it...it looks like Napa followed by Vacaville and Wood...Napa looks tough on paper, but any thing can happen...
SONOMA VALLEY LEAGUE
Sonoma Valley
Piner
Analy
Healdsburg
Allen
Petaluma
El Molino
By the end of the season, analy should wrap up the league title, unless one of these teams rise up and challenges Analy......But we could have a rising star in El Molino as a look at their preseason has to be nasty....El Molino takes on 12-2 St. Bernards on 8-26, followed 11-2 Ft. Bragg on 9-1, now Ft. Bragg takes a hit on grad, so this is a big question, But then its a valley team of 10-2 Orestimba of Newman on 9-8, followed by a always dangerous 7-5 Ferndale on 9-16...and not to be left out is Analy
taking on 8-4 Rancho Cotate on 9-1 and followed by 12-2 Cardinal Newman on 9-8 and last but not least is Healdsburg vs 8-5 Piedmont on 9-1. El Molino must think they have something, so we will have to see if they can follow thru, based on their preseason schedule..
Any thoughts or ideas?????
