So how does this work? What were they before?
I think it means he will still graduate in 2021, then take a postgrad year at a basketball academy before going on to college. I wish these articles would just say that, rather than implying he's in high school for 5 years.
Interesting that the article mentions that "he's played in the shadow of 2 teammates with D1 offers at guard" and this year appears to be the same situation with 2 guards besides him with high D1 offers currently

With COVID casting doubts all over this school year, I'd think the various post-grad teams and the like will see quite a few transfers in 2022, probably all over the US.
