Burlingame over St. Joe's in OT
Logan over Campolindo by 25
Mission over Branson by 6
S.I. over Skyline by 25

Semis
Logan v. S.I 5:00 p.m.
Burlingame v. Mission 6:30

Mission is a lot of fun to watch. Well coached and especially considering their frenetic style, well disciplined. They've got some serious talent. Jayden Foston is a deadly three point shooter from the left elbow and Niamey Harris is a really excellent all around player. Branson got great games out of Henry Feinberg and Connor Jackett.

Burlingame played well at times against St. Joseph's-Notre Dame, but Coach Lippi missed game due to the death of his brother. SJND clearly doesn't have the talent of years past, but they played a tough game. Burlingame's Tyler Garlitos played a great game going 4 of 8 from 3 point land and scoring 26 in addition to his 14 rebounds, 2 blocks and 3 steals.

Campolindo is playing without their star player Austin Clarke and got beat up by James Logan. SI easily beat Skyline.

Should be two good semi-final games today and the Branson-SJND loser's bracket game should be a good one as well.

As usual, St. Ignatius and AD John Mulkerrins run an excellent tournament. Always a pleasure going up there.

I think Branson has about 400 student body and is co-ed. They always seem to punch above their weight.

Branson played well. Well coached. Mission stayed just close enough to outlast Bulls at end. Mission is fast, yet disciplined. Should be two very good semis tonight. A very well-run tournament. The staggered starts allow for fans to watch both games.

Should be a great final today. Logan took apart SI without any problem. Logan has played a tough schedule including a blown 22 point lead vs a very good Berkeley team. Logan is good, really good. Michael Steadman seems to be improving every game. 6'9" and VERY skinny, but he can shoot. Has tremendous upside if they can get some bulk on him.

Burlingame's Tyler Garlitos has been the best player in the area lately. Scored 29 yesterday (55 for the 2 games in Sand Dunes), 13 rebounds (27 Sand Dunes) and 5 blocks and played outstanding defense on Mission's Niamey Harris. Vinnie Ferrari played an outstanding game with 28 points (9-9 from the line), 14 rebounds, 3 steals and 6 assists. Burlingame turned it over 25 times against the fierce and frenetic Mission pressure.

Burlingame coach Pete Harames did a great job managing center Bassel Mufarreh's knee issue by playing him only in the 4th quarter. Back to back games are tough but Bassel handled it very well with 6 points in the quarter and excellent defense.

Burlingame hasn't won this tournament in quite a while. Should be a good one tonight.

Logan has a losing record which includes a forfeit win. They were crushed by Serra. I like how they compete and in high school anything can happen but this game should not be close.

James Logan has lost two games by one point and played Serra with 6 players suspended including 4 starters. They can easily be 7-3 right now. But we will see tonight. Should be a good one.

SJND 51 Campo 48 in 5th place game. Curious clock management decisions by both coaches late in game. Campo missed 3 pointer at buzzer.

Lippi called time with 16 seconds to play and his team up 5 and the ball after Campo scored. Campo was out of timeouts and clock would have run.

St Ignatius blowing out Mission 24-8 2nd. SI started Darrion Trammell and they look really good. Will Emery having great game as well. Mission completely off their game

Watched a lot of hs basketball this year and 6'9 Michael Steadman is definitely a late bloomer but I feel he's among the top 40 in norcal class of 2016. Same with the kid Micah Webster.

A really nice turnout for the Sand Dunes. Congrats to SI men club for putting another fine tournament in the books.

Take aways:

Logan will be a force if they stay healthy. A very good coach; It will be fun to follow them. They had a great tournament.
Branson will be competitive all year. They are well coached.
SI will be competitive and even stronger next year; I see their length neutralizing SHC. The Bruce-Mahoney was once thought as a slam-dunk this year for Irish. Not sure now. Marcheletti doing a fine job molding a team that is his own. Things are looking up in the Sunset.
Burlingame was stronger than anticipated and will be fun to see them play HMB later in year. A solid team, with very good one-two punch. Hope they stay healthy.
Mission will not be challenged in AAA. Once their 6'5 center, power forward and starting point guard come (they have more?) back in January from injury, they will not be challenged until NorCal D IV.

Mevin Easley is head coach, but we misplaced the program which listed assistants.

Steadman is a nice shooter, but is deficient on the boards and defensively. I think he's got a lot of upside and hope someone takes a chance on him.
