WOW! There are some brutal match ups. Some of these games are going to be tough to pick. I think the weakest division is D2 by far. It falls off like a cliff after Sac and Mitty. I mean Monty is a nice team but not a #3 seed. I'm really surprised Newman landed a #2 seed in D4. I was thinking #3 or #4. With bishop monty winning open in LA MC was virtually a lock for #1 seed.

I will be at EC vs Folsom round #1. That should be a pretty contrasting style game. In a 1/2 court game going to be tough to beat Folsom for EC.

As it turns out El Cerrito would have been better served to have stayed in D 3 and lost to O'Dowd in ncs finals which would have gotten them a 3 seed instead they win a watered down D 2
title and get slapped with a 5 seed and still playing on the road.

In the open division it really doesn't matter seed all roads go thro Odowd and if Ec is lucky enough to get past Folsom next game is VS Odowd. So at this point it's pointless to look back on their pathway,I'm sure if Coach Booker could do it over they wouldn't change and he didnt complain last year when they got pulled up and are not complaining now..and I will guarantee they are not giving back That D 2 championship trophy...so let's get on to the Matchups ,the open is brutal Every game should be close

Larry,
I will be front and center when EC comes to town. Richmond ain't got nothin on Folsom! LOL

I get what you are trying to say but to imply that playing BOD at their place is less of an obstacle than at Sleep Train is kind of silly.

Mo,

At this point it don't matter Ec won a D2 championship and that is invaluable don't forget the last 5 or 6 years Ec has played Odowd at Sleep train at their place and other nuetral places.Odowd is going to be a beast wherever you play them especially this year. What Ec hoped would happen by petitoning up to D2 was that they would get a higher seed to atleast be able to host their first round opponent in the open division they gambled and lost and now Ec has to beat Folsom in Folsom which will be a tall task.

Just thought to check at O'Dowd's own website...

Their calendar says they will host St. Francis at Laney College rather than their own gym.

A look at Moreau's website indicates that they are looking for a bigger gym, too. Says "site TBA".
