She transferred to Foothill in Sacramento and the Rio Linda coach took it personal and went on a campaign to make her ineligible. SJS deemed her ineligible for a year and that is so puzzling to me because who would transfer to a school like Foothill for a basketball reason. She is a GREAT kid and it is outrageous that this was the SJS ruling. The Rio coach is a clown in my opinion to punish a kid for a decision a parent makes. Foothill is on no one's list of schools to go play basketball at.

I don't know the details, but why shouldn't every family have the right to put their child in the school that's best for them, with no limitations on extracurricular activity?
I bet Makaila can be in the band if she wants ...

Agreed. As long as it's the family's decision with no blatant recruiting from the school.
