Lincoln Stockton and Piedmont had a delay tonight with a power outage. Happened to a few games around the Bay Area
It was 48 -46 with 14 secs left and St Marys missed 3 straight front ends of 1 and1 and CN couldn't secure the rebound and finally on the 4th try hit both free-throw to seal the deal with 2 secs left.
CN had their chances but couldn't grab that darn missed ft rebound.
Good game... both teams played really hard.
D2: Antelope slips past McClatchy, 60-58 in a very close game. Game was held at Antelope. Looks like McClatchy's punishment (for the Lincoln-Stockton game) was no home playoffs games, even though they were the better (lower) seed in their last two playoff games.
Crystal Springs Uplands, a school best known for its squash team, played its first ever NorCal game as the #8 seed in Division V on Tuesday and beat #9, Immaculate Conception. Tonight they traveled almost four hours to play #1 Bear River and beat them too, 50-43. How fun.
It was a GREAT season. No one expected them to be any good. Heck NCP didn't have them in their top 35 to start the season. And they came within 1 rebound on a missed ft of having last possession down 2 vs a team (at home) that was ranked Top 10 in the state for most of the year.
I personally think is was Mertles best coaching job of her career.
