Anyone (heat?) know the status of this young man? Seems odd that he has been hurt for almost two years at Arizona State. Obviously the family has always handled things uniquely to say the least. His size, athletic ability and shooting range really elevated him in the national rankings his senior year and he was even on some mock drafts last year but he is a ghost now.

Super disappointing for both of them this far. Too young to call Marvin a bust but he has been underwhelming so far. Marcus game seems to fit better in modern nba but gotta stay healthy. Hopefully he plays for ASU again,

That well isnt as deep as you laid out. $36M, half that went to taxes, subtract insurance, agent fees, cost of living, his lifestyle, family/friends with extended open hands, also he was starting up his rap career... best hope he turns his career around in his 2nd deal which likely isnt going to be what he thought was going to be since he's been inconsistent and injured. But good for him. He lived the dream where many can still only dream.

Yah sorry to break it to you but if he's not bringing in anything after his earning years are done and more is going out, the math says hes going just like the rest of these norcalpreps folks you are speaking of.

Yup. And nobody said anything about money equating to success. I said he had a lot of expectations as a lotto pick and has been marginal at best. He doesn’t seem to have any “fire” in his belly either. Lots of obligations with that lifestyle and it goes quick. Tons of broke former players and now you are done by 30-32 because most of these guys have so many miles on them due to year round playing as kids.

Marcus is till at ASU. He did not declare for the draft nor enter the transfer portal. Since his sophomore year of HS he has missed practically every other season due to injury, so 2022-23 should be a healthy one!

The Bagley to look out for is Martray! A top 10 prospect in the class of 2028.

well, poor people surely arent successful so money does at some sort equal success. again, nobody posting here has a son as a lottery pick. for that matter most yall dont even have a son who can play JC basketball. marginal in the nba is still better than any other at their jobs. he aint larry bird, but he surely aint a failure

give me 13 years, my 5 year old hit two shots last night. With the money i make he he has JC written all over him.

ask yourself the same questions. you're making the assumption that because he made x amount of dollars, that will last forever and keep living the same way. nobody here is rooting for him to fall on his face. i'm sure you are aware of the endless list of pros that have gone broke.

i never said he will keep living the same way. i said he clearly aint a failure at this point as others on here say. yall the ones praying for his downfall.

What Bagley III are you watching? He is the letter T away from being labeled a BUST. Guy is inconsistent and often injured. He wasnt offered a rookie extension so he will be playing next year under a 1 yr league minimum. His best case is he catches on with a winning club and put up stellar role player numbers like Malik Monk did with Lakers. Lets hope he does. He's a talented player and just needs to be surrounded by winners.
