We are happy to announce that Mark Phelps will be the new Head Coach at Prolific Prep. Coach Phelps brings major D1 Head Coaching experience to our program.

We are very thankful and happy for Joey Fuca for a tremendous National Championship season, and for his future opportunities coming soon. Coach Fuca did an incredible job and we are forever thankful for this past season. Prolific Prep is a stepping stone for our players and also our staff. Joey will not be any different.

The 2020-2021 roster will be released shortly. It should be another banner season for the Prolific Prep Crew.

you guys hire a guy that's gone 77-86 as a head coach? Major D1 coaching experience? Last I remember, Drake is a mid major...the way you guys fluff things is off the hook...

We almost had Steve Kerr step down for the GS Warriors since he didn't like the bubble idea, but he passed late, unfortunately. We had to settle for Mark Phelps....SMH! That was a joke by the way

Mark Phelps is a fabulous hire for any Prep/High School in the USA!! Not many guys with this coaching pedigree walking around high school basketball sidelines. Coach Phelps has recruited, trained, and coached many 1st and 2nd rounders in his stops at NC State, Missouri, Arizona, Arizona State, Marquette, etc. We are beyond excited for next season.

While I did have my initial reservations about PP at the end of the day they do move guys forward to good college programs. as far as I know they haven't really plucked guys AWAY from the local high school
scene so it can't be said that they are not improving the college chances of the
Athlete's in there program because they are.
With that I no longer critisize there efforts and I do realize it's just a different level for young men to reach there goal. I will always prefer high school ball over the prep school version but they have a platform and there own lane to work in and there program has been successful in there short time of operating.

Thank you Bones40. Appreciate the kind words. On a typical open evaluation period, Prolific/GSP can have over 40 coaches in our gym watching our guys. I have to suspect (well we know they do), a few of those use the logistical time frame to see some other local NorCal guys.

More big news to be announced soon that will benefit NorCal. Stay Tuned.

Yeah I’ve never understood the hate that’s skewed towards prolific and other prep programs. It’s had a trickle down effect on local programs by way of scouting and the events like The Crush in the valley

Crush in the Valley has turned out to be the signature event in California and was slated to be EPIC this coming season. But it will be back next year, or there may be a Mini Crush in Feb if the world opens back up.

Huge props to Prolific Prep's Co-Founder, Philippe Doherty for putting on the CRUSH IN THE VALLEY. Philippe works around the clock to make sure to take care of the teams, players, and fans.
