Went out to watch the highly anticipated "Match-Up City" Trny tonight at Las Positas JC. Quality games and lots of local talent on display. Interesting enough is the Rebels 16u may be better than it's 17U. Rebels 17u squeaked by a athletic, talented but, very undisciplined, turn-over prone Soldier 16u team. Then the 16u Rebel's came out and outplayed Team Arsenal in every facet of the game. Team Arsenal appeared stunned from the beginning and could never recover. Bad decision after bad decision by Team Arsenal guards from errant passes to missed 30ft 3's led to a opening night loss to a smaller less heralded Rebels 16u team. The only bright spot for Arsenal was "do everything" guard Naseem Gaskin. Definitely worth the trip out to Livermore for any basketball fan within 100 miles. Stands were packed and place was filled with media.

Day 2 of the event was terrible. Not even the local JC coaches came out to watch. They all must of known something that I didn't. Play was definitely down. I was so excited after Friday night thinking that the local Bay Area talent pool had began a resurgence only to leave Las Positas once again disappointed. With all do respect to the Soldiers 17u & Splash City, they were not in attendance and with that, I still hold out hope. Every time I check the boards or Facebook all I says is "I'm blessed to receive my 3rd offer", "I'm blessed to receive a offer from Gold State". Well, I wasn't "blessed" when I had to pay $10 to watch those games yesterday. Somebody needs to help get these kids better!

The second day of the event had the same teams that were in it Friday. Junior colleges and D2s came out to the event Friday night unexpectedly as it is a non LIVE period local event. Also, jucos typically like to see 2016 kids at this time. This tourney was more loaded than any aau tourney in the bay this year bringing, Soldiers, Lillard, Arsenal, Top Flight, Hayes, etc together. Normally you can't get the top teams all in one tournament. Irrelevant to me bringing up the scholarship offers of kids and lack of development when in reality you were BLESSED to even see kids play eachother to gain an actually opinion on who is on a certain level and who isn't. Some of the top players in the WEST COAST played in his tourney. This message board is for cowards afraid to show their face. Making usernames trying to tarnish brands. Have a great day on your daily job. You motivate no1

Classofhoops: I am almost certain that is not the name on your birth certificate. So stop with the "hiding" comment. I also see that you are a member. If this is a place for "Cowards", how did you find it, why do you read it and more importantly.. WHY DID YOU JOIN??? This board is about opinion's not bashing. I am only hoping that we can get back to the days of old. And yes, I will go back to that daily job which "I am blessed to say I have". LMFAO. Have a great day COH and welcome to the board.

Classofhoops is the brand. I ran the tourney so yea. This is KP. I got the message about your ignorant message so i am replying. No hiding

So let me get this right: You throw a tournament, I pay you $20 to watch two days of basketball. I form my own opinion based on what I saw, post it, you don't like it, so that makes me a idiot hiding out? I believe you would agree the 1st night was full of great play and energy. You would also have to agree that Saturday was way down.

Saturday had its highs and lows. It was A 13hour day. If you utilized your full 10 dollars on Saturday then you got to watch 24 games for 10dollars. But hey. I'm done with it, I'll let you do your NorCal forum thing and I'll do what I do
