I know this is a Nor Cal board, but just thought this was a huge win for Mater Dei as they try and get to 5 in a row. I think if they advance it would be a do over of last years state championship. Revenge has to be on BOD'S mind. First things first they have to get past MC.

Please bring up that butterball Mcknight. I would like nothing more than ODOWD to beat them down. MD already beat Fairfax rather easily earlier in the year. I was really expecting Bishop Monty.

It should fall into place and HAAS would be rockin for that matchup! Butterball LOL

I agree with whoever it was that said that Mater Dei has looked a lot better coached the past few years compared to back when they lost to Oak Ridge and Palo Alto. When I last saw them McKnight frequently seemed to turn the reins over to his assistant (the bald guy?) and rarely led the timeout huddles.

Bank-Shot- You are right. I think he's basically the figurehead and face of the program. The strategy is driven by the assistants. Like it or not the guy is the winningest coach in CA history and that school attracts so much talent. But this is our year for the open (north.

If im not mistaken the bald guy might be his son, not sure. Many don't know the resources at the disposal of this machine. If your ever lucky to watch them practice it crazy. The NBA fathers whose sons are on the team help out during the workouts. They have stat guys with laptops and copiers during the games giving them real time stats at the half. The last few years Klay Thompson's high school coach from Santa Margarita has joined the staff as a hobby because he is retired. This year's team is not as talented as years past yet they are in the Open Division Final. They just keep winning big games.
