"A coin flip designated Mission Viejo as the home team. When two teams meet after the first round of the playoffs, the team with the fewest number of playoff home games at that point of the playoffs is the home team. If the two teams have had the same number of playoff home games a coin flip determines the home team."

That makes sense, but I guess I don’t see the angle. If they went by seeds the lower seeded team fans won’t travel but the higher seeded teams will? So let letting the lower seed host = a bigger gate?
