Found the gym after a bit of walking, should be worth the effort…

Terrific old fieldhouse-style gym, nice almost-new floor, with a seat just for me 3 rows behind the scorers’ table.

M-A is ranked #5 in the CCS with a 21-4 record.
Riordan is ranked #2, with a 19-6 record while facing a markedly tougher schedule than M-A’s.

These two faced each other back in December, with Riordan coming out on top by 13. Of course, a lot has happened since then…. I understand it was the last game that King Jisanni-While (sp???). played for the Crusaders. It has seemed like Riordan jelled more after King left, but who knows?

John Price evens the score for M-A…

Already falling behind here, my typing that is…. 6-4 M-A. 9-4 after a 3 by Ben Eisner…

wow…. Wise dunk attempt sent away, and M-A cors again…. 11-4.

Eisner yet again, stop and go move…. Finally Riordan scores again, Rencher…. 13-6. 3 minutes left 1st.

Big Christian Wise sent into the scorers’ table…. He asked the table if was okay.

That was Jalen Williams’ 3rd foul.

Eisner fouled from behind on a 3 try, FT’s 2 of 3, 27-22 Bears.

Wise is becomg a problem inside…. He’s fouled on a putback attempt after yet another rebound…. FT’s split. 27-23 Bears.

Travel on M-A…. 2:03 left in the half.

Wise is fouled again…. FT’s good… 27-25. M-A another tunronver…. and Woodson drives to the hole and ties it at 27!

Bears foul, player control, Price’s 3rd…. M-A steal!

M-A’s Okereke fouled, 1 and 1…. Front end rattles home…. bonus nope…. 28-27 M-A.

Riordan has to shoot before the shot-clock buzzer, 10 seconds left, nope…. M-A with a hurried long pass downcourt intercepted, Rencher grabs it, takes a 20-foot runner, it BANKS HOME at the buzzer! 30-28 Riordan, I think their first lead of the game.

Not quite, Riordan had the first bucket, but otherwise trailed all the way until that Rencher shot banged home at the buzzer.

Very entertaining first half…. A good number of turnovers, but they have almost all felt like defense-caused rather than sloppy play.

Price fakes Rencher out his shoes, drives, fouled…. FT’s BADLY missed…. Those FT misses are KILLING the Bears…

Williams hits a long 3 for the BEras…. 42-36…. Riordan with a travel, Bears with a chance to get back in this.

Johno Price nails a 3! 42-39 Riordan…. but Zachary Jones nails one for the Crusaders! 45-39…

M-A with a charge, Williams’ 4th.

Moving screen on Riordan, Zachary Jones’ 3rd…. 5 seconds left, drive, no good… but Okereke is there to flip it back in at the buzzer for the Bears!

SHP/ SHC game disapointed in effort by this WCAL team have some frickin intensity and pride!! the 2 football guys without a doubt the best athletes but just no hustle..... does SHP squad full of 6' aiden whats his name kids {with on 6'6 w no hops}have a chance against the mighty crusaders???

SHC took care of Riordan though and Menlo-A tonight...I wouldn't say no hustle...SHP just hit that last second three pointer...props to them for playing well at home.
