Metro State adds another NorCal shooter

Jesuit small forward Chris Simpson will join Ponderosa small forward Adam Orr at Metro State next year.

Simpson, who is playing baseball right now, was one of the top available seniors heading into the spring.

Where is Mateo State and what conference are they in? I’ve never heard of it. If I saw someone wearing a Metro State sweatshirt, I would have assumed it was a fictitious school name.

They play in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference in Division II

Metro State is high D2. Friend of mine played there years back for coach Mike Dunlap who was HC for NBA Bobcats for awhile and now LMU HC. Pretty big time program. Good pickup for them.

smoothjay- Yup. They had some great teams back then. Looks like they pull some kids out of norcal. 3 kids on roster (2 from Freedom HS) and 1 from Central Cath. Simpson is a solid D2. 6"5 with athleticism and can really shoot it. I

downtown denver . right across from the pepsi center and within walking distance from where the broncos play . used to live there .

He can definitely shoot the ball but I wouldn't call him athletic. I would say he's a long 6'5 but speed and athleticism are his for sure his weakness.
