Mission beats Central Catholic in 2OT

This team is legitimate!
They have won all the close games they have been in this year. Their only loss was to Monte Vista. Didn't see this game but knew MV size and discipline breaking press would give them trouble.
I can see them making some serious noise in Div. 3.
Despite what some might think, Lowell will make them earn a victory at Lowell in the upcoming weeks!

Watched Mission/Central Catholic game on Piedmont tournament feed and it was very much a playoff atmosphere that could have gone either way.

Yes, solid team, but if season progresses, will eventually have to play a sound St. Ignatius. Wouldn't be surprise to see them face off with SHC in early round NorCal game, as Irish will be able to take advantage of an extremely weak DIII CCS. I understand making a NorCal spot is now not guaranteed if one makes a sectional championship game and the Irish will need to right the ship before then. Eventually will all depend on how SI progresses and if they take the Open challenge or almost automatic advancement through DIII. I suspect as they are trying to establish a winning edge, they will elect to remain in DIII.

Either way, there is a chance for a AAA/WCAL City clash in NorCal (dependent on seedings).

Yes, Lowell has figured out Mission (beating them once last year) and only losing by 10 this year. They will play at least two more times, almost guaranteed.

Sure it does. They learned to slow the game down and give themselves a shot. It worked for them last year. Teams who try to run with Mission, have no chance.

They actually should have lost that game #20 for CC had a chance to end it but missed 4 free throws with seconds on the clock

True. Had a two point lead with four seconds left. #20 missed both ends and Mission went length of court to send into 2nd overtime. Too bad, #20 had at least two big threes to help Central back in game in regulations. Sometimes you have to be lucky.
