In other games, Weston Ranch beat Turlock 77-69, Ripon bear Manteca 53-46, and Freedom best Beyer 53-46.

First winners-bracket game is San Leandro v. San Joaquin Memorial, tip scheduled for 3pm.

SJM will need to show a lil more attention on the defensive end today.

SJM finally getting a bit of breathing room... 39-29 at the half. Green threw down a nasssssssty baseline-drive two-hander with 2:37 to go, and followed that with a deep 3 a minute later.

Certainly a more intense effort today, but I think SJM will need a good bit more defensive effort against top-level teams down the road, even when they get Douglas back on the floor.... whenever that may be.
