Really a good thing he went to prolific and got so much better and more exposure to secure that coveted Hawaii offer.Seck has committed to Hawaii
at some point you gotta do what you are supposed to do. he met the ceiling, that tall, that early, it is difficult. but at least he had the bigger offers early. he just got as good as he was going to get. that said, he is playing D1 basketball next year and thousands of bay area kids will never say that. but yeah, hawaii was available even if he stayed at riordan.Really a good thing he went to prolific and got so much better and more exposure to secure that coveted Hawaii offer.
track record shows for nor cal kids they will transfer. well now everyone does.Transfer portal next spring??
track record shows for nor cal kids they will transfer. well now everyone does.
and you had such high hopes for the big fellaHawaii is a beautiful place to visit. But living there is a completely different animal.
Coaching means everything and the Hawaii coaches pulled out the red carpet for him and he took it. One positive. He should get 15-20 min of PT per game easy. Realistically if he had went to a school like Kansas or Ok st he would have maybe got 5 min in a blowout situation.
I hope the kid makes the most of his minutes. I def. Thought he would go to a bigger school than Hawaii.
In today's college landscape, I wouldnt be surprised if he enter the transfer portal after year 1. Good luck to him going forward.Really a good thing he went to prolific and got so much better and more exposure to secure that coveted Hawaii offer.
peja kid and mor aint the same. riordan wasnt winning a state title. they wouldnt have beaten ponderosa. PP allowed him to train with the best. Nobody in CA would beat PP so he went to the best school in the state. Clearly being offered and being able to play there are 2 different situations. Peja kid would be recruited over at kentucky so be careful.Hawaii a tough choice for a mainland kid. And PP did absolutely nothing. He could have won a norcal title with Riordan.
Look at peja kid. Kentucky offered today. Glad he got that offer because of a prep school.😭
You mean they aren’t the same player? Thanks for the insight. Nobody said he was going to UK and everybody gets recruited over. That’s why it’s one and done or transfer city.peja kid and mor aint the same. riordan wasnt winning a state title. they wouldnt have beaten ponderosa. PP allowed him to train with the best. Nobody in CA would beat PP so he went to the best school in the state. Clearly being offered and being able to play there are 2 different situations. and there it is.... to get a D1 scholarship 95% of the norcal prep crew will never have the chance, nor will their kids. good work PP.I am sorry to say but some people are just clueless what goes on behind the scenes and landscape of college basketball. So i will end this all one last time.
Mor Seck could have entertained or went to a much "higher profile" school or conference. He chose the school where the head coach recruited him the hardest and actually came to visit him at the end. And I am proud of him for that. That is Mor choice and he made the decision which factors was important to him, not the public armchair coaches.
And those that said PP didn't help with his development is ridiculous. Mor wasn't able to compete at Prolific when he first got here. He didn't have the basketball court time or IQ to play with 4-5 Star athletes. However, he left a completely different player, competing on the largest stage at GEICO and being a defensive factor. Not only did Mor Seck earn grow in maturity, he overcome early playing time woes, performed on the largest stage when it mattered, and earned a full ride college scholarship. That was Mor progression for a single year with us and we are so proud of him.
Some haters on here always forget there are levels to this basketball. Lets not forget Centennial is the pinnacle for California CIF. Let's not forget with only 1.5 weeks of practice, we were up 30 points on ESPN at the Border League against them, and we were not at full strength. People love to sit here and talk but the facts don't lie, there are levels to this Prep vs CIF game.
And to set the record straight, as the season is over and he got his scholarship. Mor Seck wasn't recruited to Prolific Prep. Mor was removed from Riordon by their administration and they asked if we could take him on our team as we were local and we have had high success with international players. So everyone can stop with the BS that we took him from Riordon. And we are beyond happy that phone call did happen.
To top it off, he lived with a host family that adored him. Maybe the best moment of his stay at PP, was Mor was smart/mature enough to evaluate a potentially deadly situation, call 911 in a timely manner to save his host fathers life who was having a stroke. Mor, within minutes was able to work with 911 to resuscitate his host dad's life. So everyone can talk all the BS they want on here, Mor Seck will always be a major part of PP history, regardless if he want to University of Hawaii or the ACC (which was offering).
Ponderosa? Didn’t they make a first round exit to the lowest seed in their bracket? Riordan played in the NorCal Open without Mor and Zion who both moved to PP.peja kid and mor aint the same. riordan wasnt winning a state title. they wouldnt have beaten ponderosa. ol boy talked about ponderosa all year like they were the next best thing to the showtime lakers. so they def was better than PP and RiordanPonderosa? I think you are missing the point. Mor Is a 7ft gifted kid regardless if he went to PP or Cloverdale. There are no surprises anymore with you tube and AAU. Peja kid played for an average norcal team (Jesuit) and he is blowing up. Played against kids who wil never be the 1st option in city league games when they grow up. He doesn’t need PP or any other school. He is genetically gifted and has worked hard.I am sorry to say but some people are just clueless what goes on behind the scenes and landscape of college basketball. ok thats cute. but clearly we on a high school site talking about teen boys. so who really in the present?I don’t think anyone but you ever brings up the Lakers. Most of us live in the present.
Jalen Green? Also what stand outs from Riordan are nba stand outsAlso this is directed at Prolific Prep
you can’t compare a Prep team to a high school team. It’s completely unfair. Prep schools essentially recruit and even scholarship their guys. Centennial, while a power house, is still a public school that has to abide by certain rules prep schools don’t.
Prolific Prep also lost two guys last year, and yet no one really said anything about that (Dink Pate, Dior Johnson) while gaining the Sac kid Rosebourough.
You won’t hear them say it out loud but I think Mor and even a little bit Sensley made mistakes leaving Riordan for PP. That’s my opinion. That’s a lot of peoples opinion.
I will stand up for PP when necessary but so far in their existence there isn’t really one NBA guy they developed that stands out. Josh Jackson isn’t even in the league anymore and I guess you could make an argument that Gary Trent Is somewhat serviceable.

Agreed! Who wants to be able to travel the country playing elite talent, getting to see new places one would be hard pressed to see in their lifetime and play on ESPN? I totally rather get those kind of life experiences traveling down 280 for a non league game at Jefferson or Aragon!Green played 1 year there, 3 years at SJM….I think SJM gets more credit for developing him, then PP does.
Riordan hasn’t had any NBA players of recent memory. Lots of D1 athletes though.
Personally winning a CA state title would have meant more to me then whatever titles PP was in contention for. But everyone is different.
i mean you also said going to watch a D5 basketball game was top 3 moments in your life. so theres that.Green played 1 year there, 3 years at SJM….I think SJM gets more credit for developing him, then PP does.

furthermore Riordan was no lock to win anything considering they had ponderosa in the way. and campolindo.Green played 1 year there, 3 years at SJM….I think SJM gets more credit for developing him, then PP does.
