Najee Harris puts on another show for Alabama

I don't want to overvalue one player, but him not choosing Michigan started a downward trend under Harbaugh. Recruiting started sliding back for the Wolverines

When he was a prep, he was a man playing against boys most of the time. Even at the college level, he stands out among his mature peers in an almost Jim Brown-like way. It might be fair to state that, in the end, the NFL could be the one place where he will finally face some real physical challenges on a regular weekly basis.

Will be interesting to see Harris in the pros....exact same size as Jim Brown 6-2,228lbs 4.5 40, and very similar speed although Brown played in an era where he was faster than almost anyone on the field. Different today. Other comparisons to good and great RBs with speed - 49er's Raheem Mostert 4.32 40 who's speed does show in games compared to Harris 4.45 40 (which is better than the 4.49 average for RBs). Harris also is not an Eric Dickerson 6-3, 220lb 4.28 40 or Former Titan speedster Chris Johnson 4.18 40. The question is how good will Harris be in the pros?

Thats kind of the way I had viewed Jason Kidd back in the day. Hopefully Najee can continue his dominance against the best in the pros like Jason did.

Many mocks have Najee selected in the second round. I guess running backs rarely go too early in the draft these days, but I think he will be quite the bargain in the second round.

Najee Harris finished No. 5 in the Heisman voting
Pretty good company......Right behind .2 Bama teammates Mac Jones QB & De Vonta Smith WR,as well as Clemson's Trevor Lawrence and Florida's Kyle Trask and ahead of Iowa State's Hall, the Buckeye's Justin Field and BYU's Wilson

you have a vote? how you know this already? or are you from the future? 2020 strikes again
No need to be a smart ass to Streak :)

With teammate Najee Harris announced Thursday as having finished No. 5 in the voting, Alabama is the first team with three players in the top five in the Heisman vote since Army in 1946.

RB position in NFL has been devalued over the years. The combination of rookie contracts and the passing game along with shelf life really has killed the position value. That said Harris has a skill set and size that should translate well in NFL. He can most certainly be a 3 down back with his pass catching ability, his running abilities speak for itself. (Pad level might be a concern) Area of biggest concern will be pass protection, a must for NFL backs. Injury aside he should see that second contract and be a franchise back for somebody.
