St. Mary’s is a HUGE underdog vs Central Catholic! But, I saw the Rams play some hard hitting football on Friday, even though it was vs West. And although they don’t have the little speedster, Jason Colvin, on the team (apparently transferred), there’s still a lot of speed on this very young Rams team (mostly Juniors). That CC Raider line is HUGE! And their RB Jacklich is one tough RB that will be hard to bring down. Their QB is not too shabby either. Note: CC defeated SM last year at both Varsity and JV levels.

Praying for a miracle at the Holy Bowl in Modesto.
 
If Raiders could have hit some passes in 4th qtr. after running up and down the field. Lancers Secondary was having a tough time covering CC. Unfortunately, QB rolled out and always overthrew his pattern and receivers. Raiders likely have watched film and will either have QB keep running up field or not pass into traffic for potential interception. St. Francis has a very good QB and he made his passes. St. Mary's knows CC, so this could be a very close game. If Raiders can make a few adjustments from their loss, watch out might be a blowout.

why do so many of you think DLS will beat Serra... or even more broadly.. why this would be a close game? I saw some highlights of the DLS game. They did not look like the DLS I remember in the mid 2000s. Looks like a lot of undersized players messing up plays and lotta penalties

When is the last time Serra beat DLS? Sure, it could happen this week, but they’ve got to overcome that huge hurdle that SF & Folsom did last season. I didn’t make picks, but I can sure see why a lot of folks went with DLS. They are still the NorCal standard.

Why do you obsess so much about DLS ?? It's only 2022 we are no where near the "mid 2000's" ....unless you are rubbing your crystal balls and looking into the future ?

.....Bruthas from different Muthas..... and if I found you lying unconcious on the floor, I would grab the closest portable emergency defibrillator and apply the one fully charged paddles to the top of your head and the other to your groin area while handing my phone to a bystander to video your limbs reaction and your facial expression the moment of electrical discharge for a Tik Tok memorable moment ............OR I mean, after reading the instruction booklet apply them to your chest and get your tick tocker beating again, friends don't let friends...............:cool::cool:
