* this game is going to exciting and closer than some may anticipate. Watching DLS ‘s game vs OLU and giving DLS’s QB Faavae more credit than his stats currently reflect and add Coach Alumbaugh’s confidence in his QB, Faavae may be able to throw the ball vs the Ram’s D. Heck he threw a 74 yard TD against the Rams last year, and it’s these kind of plays that Clovis West and Central Catholic were able to make to put points on the board. DLS although still a young team has much speed to contend with and anticipate them making improvements to get to the QB on defense. Missed tackles is still a concern, but 3 games in, they should be better. DLS lost to some very good teams. Those losses should not shadow their true capability vs St. Mary’s. This one is going to be a dandy of a game! Still keeping this game as my 10 pointer just because I’m a homer. Wouldn’t be surprised if some here pick DLS to win. They are still DLS! GO RAMS!!!

Rams 42 Spartans 21 … more provocative? 😉 *

I actually hope for a much closer game and DLS does have a dual threat QB that “might” give the Rams some trouble. But, if the Rams can play defense like they did vs Manteca and limit the Spartan ground game, and the Rams offense can put points on the board early and often, I’m not sure the Spartans offense can keep up with them. But, I may be wrong.

Last year DLS jumped out to a 14-0 lead against a Rams team that was a bit anxious and made much mistakes early that killed their opening drives. But, once they got going and the nerves/anxiety was behind them, they were unstoppable. Sure, Eidson is back and I expect DLS’s defense to be better than last year. But, the Rams run defense is a lot better than last year and games vs Clovis West and Central Catholic were games where the defense gave up big plays, especially in the air. Not sure Faavae is as equipped with similar WRs Clovis West has or is as good a QB as Central Catholic’s Wentworth, but confident the Rams will prepare for him and also Kelly and others carrying the rock for the Spartans. Rams QB Hunkin started off the season slow and much emphasis has been on RB Asante Carter running the ball which he has been doing pretty good so far. Hunkin is playing much better and is just as dangerous on the ground as in the air, IMHO, a more dangerous 2-way threat. Still, DLS is DLS and this game is on their home field. I really am hoping for a great game that may come down to the wire. But, I’m still confident the Rams will pull off the victory and return home 4-0. GO RAMS!!! :cool:

DLS QB is not a dual threat at all, he’s just another RB basically, he can’t threaten any team with his arm

Kinda like Manteca’s QB, then. Gotcha! I still anticipate DLS’s defense to be better than Manteca’s. Still hoping for a close game!

Since I am not being tracked in top group cumulatively it is just notice I will make my move this week to get back into it ... Just wanted to psych out the top group that I'm coming after you all LOL

Congrats to Kiddman on the weekly win. We don't have many weekly wins at 7 points! I listed the games this week in terms of margin of victory. So this would be an ideal entry in some ways.

We had a big shakeup in the yearly standings. Should be a fun second half of the season!
