D1:

Monte Vista- Blowout but Antioch is athletic and streaky.
De La Salle- Close then you might think but the Spartans style of play isn't seen much in this league.
San Ramon- Might have the most talent in this Division.
Freedom- Won both game by 10, should be close to the same here.
College Park- Upset alert, benefits from a home game cause of being a league champ. I will be here!!
Granada- Upset alert, Johnson still isn't done yet.
Amador- Very close, Chaffee and Ruotolo inside outside game will be enough to set the pace.
Castro Valley- Falcons are on a skid and injuries factor in here too.

D2:

El Cerrito- David vs. Goliath
Montgomery- Arroyo lacks talent and size.
Dublin- Mt. Eden is lucky to be here and it will be short lived.
Las Lomas- Disappointed in their seed and they take it out here but Pinole is Scrappy.
Windsor- Upset alert. San Marin's league will hurt them.
Concord- San Lorenzo only has a few wins over teams with a winning record.
Casa Grande- To much talent to lose here.
Newark- Coaching alone gets the win here.

D3:

O'Dowd- Bye
Moreau- Bye
Drake- Won't be tested until they play Moreau.
Campo- Blowout to prove they deserve to be higher.
Albany- Great season continues here.
Piner- Upset alert, plays very hard on both ends and gets after you defensively.
Miramonte- 5th place team in the DFAL gets a home game and a win.
Alhambra- Upset alert. 6th place team in the DFAL scores a win on the road.

San Leandro blew out Granada by 25 or so. Tough night shooting for the Mats (i think they made their first 3 midway through the fourth after missing, no exaggeration, something like their first 20), Johnson had foul trouble that had him sitting most of the 1st half. Looks like Hertitage beat AV (no surprise to me after watching Granada beat them by 30). Berkeley over College Park. Freedom in a close one over Pitt. Castro easily over Foothill. DLS smashes Liberty. SRV cruises over Dougherty. No real surprises in D1.

Tough night in the NBL.

CASA goes down by 10 at home to a sub .500 team northgate.
Windsor loses by 28 to San Marin?? What the heck.
Monty did win by double figures though.

Montgomery won 60-48; 12 point margin for #2 over #15. Arroyo played tough after ruff start in first quarter. Congrats to Coach Fitchie.

Yeah my buddy went to see game. Said it was 20-4 after first qtr or something like that and they Arroyo outplayed them. Big 6"11 kid (paulson) continues to do well. I think in his last 15 games hes like 20, 12, and 4. Sometimes you need a wakeup call.

what caught my eye with last night's result was the win by Alhambra. They have taken a lot of beating on this board over the years and you could see that this years team had clearly improved don't know the coach at all but saw them play a couple of times and like the energy that they play with congratulations to them I know that must have felt good.

I saw the Berkeley-CP game last night. Berkeley jumped out to a 15-5 1st quarter lead, but CP kept clawing back and eventually took the lead before halftime. CP had a clear edge inside with Daily and Crosno in the paint but their shots were not falling and Berkeley's guard play made the difference. Daily had a great game with a ton of boards, blocks and points, but he needed more help and the Jackets were more athletic and caused some key TOs. The Falcons were within 4 in the final minute but just couldn't get the shots to fall. Good game. Berkeley is well coached and disciplined and should give Freedom a good game in round 2.

I agree with you Bones. The new coach does have them playing hard and getting a playoff win could be a turning point for this program. Now if they can find a way to keep BOD from showing up...

Scout why did u say San Marin league was going to hurt them against Windsor? MCAL was rated higher than the NBL and SCL
