De La Salle over College Park by 12: I was impressed by CP's win over Concord last night and I doubt this one will be easy as the teams' records might indicate. CP has some quick, shifty guards who could cause problems for DLS. Of course, DLS has pounded everyone they've faced in NorCal... Still, I think this one has some possible entertainment value to it.
Foothill over Pittsburg by 1: Throughout the year, both teams have been impressive at times and not-so-good at others. I'm going with Foothill pretty much only on the basis of the result of their season-opening game which went to Foothill 64-59.
Heritage over Castro Valley by 9: I haven't seen Castro play this year, but they have only one really big win, that being over athletic, talented, inconsistent Freedom. Did Castro play off-the-charts that night, or did Freedom lay an egg as they did in their game vs. Turlock? Or both? Heritage couldn't figure out a way to beat Freedom, but I think they'll get a comfortable win here.
Dublin over Liberty by 11: Liberty sputtered their way into the playoffs, losing five of their last seven. Dublin has won ten in a row. Even though Liberty has played close with more top-flight opponents, it's hard to think they're better than the Gaels.
Dougherty Valley over California by 16: DV has terrorized the DFAL and just about everyone else they faced, and Cal has only one win vs. a real contender, that being the up-and-down College Park. I've seen both teams play, and I just don't see an upset in the cards.
Berkeley over San Leandro by 1: I have to admit, no idea on this one. They've split a pair already, so I'm just guessing based on MaxPreps rankings. I have actually seen Berkeley twice this year, but still can't figure 'em out.
Freedom over Amador Valley by 11: This one depends a lot on which Freedom happens to show up; the one that beat Folsom, or the one that had a lot of trouble with Turlock? If the "good" one shows up, this could get nasssssty.
Monte Vista over Logan by 3: Monte Vista doesn't score real high on the eye test to me this year, but they still seem to always come up huge in big games, especially late in the year. Logan has won their last sixteen games against teams not called Moreau, but they haven't fared well overall vs. top opponents.
