This is a Terrific Matchup!!!... I don’t know what to make of CVC’s year in the EBAL because I never thought ther would only win 1 game....

However, they Owned Campo in the BVAL so is there a Mental Block there or Can Campo Rise up and Knock CVC off....

Really looking forward to this matchup, hopefully it is streaming on NFHS!!!....

They’ve met 3 times, and Murphy has come out on top by at least 4 TDs in each of them, 35-7 being the closest. So it’s not like Macy has had the upper hand in their matchups. That being said, this CVC team is flawed and not nearly as good as the Uglies of the past few years, as evidenced by their coming in last place in the EBAL Mountain. Macy may be able to exploit their weaknesses. This one promises to be a closer game.

This matchup is a joke and the rhetoric that campo led the charge to get them removed from the DAL is absolutely false. EVERY team in the league wanted them out equally because CV is a D1 charter school with a massive roster, numbers and player size, playing against a bunch of D3/D4 public schools. The fact that Darren sabeda and others don’t see this is comical and shows how little he and the rest of the media actually know about hs football. Murphy is a total coward for wanting to stay in that league. He gets exposed every time they play a team that has some size as was shown in the ebal this year. If he can’t play bully ball against smaller teams he is completely incompetent as a coach (and the CV fans know it). CV playing in D2 is criminal

So is Murphy incompetent or Brilliant? Every coach wants his team to win but when the roadblock to success is DLS, I'm not so sure that Murphy's course of action is incompetence.

And Clayton Valley takes the D2 title by a score of 27-7. In three D2 NCS games CV outscored its opponents 111-23. That’s an average of 37-7.6. Now THAT’S some competitive equity for you! What a joke. CV should be embarrassed to hang that banner after finishing in last place on its new big boy league. As long as they can just play D3/D4 publics they are very good. And then I have to read another preposterous article by sabedra about “poetic justice”. Laughable. Some people will just never get it. And don’t get me started on Milpitas winning D4...SMDH?!?

This is nothing new... They have let Cardinal Newman play down in D4 for years. I'd say its SOP for the NCS. As long as the CIF continues its bowl practices, NCS should move to an equity system of playoff seeding. With an equity system, CVC couldn't hide in D2 and Cardinal Newman couldn't hide in D4. SJS section is moving that direction and CCS went all in this year.

As you probably have read, there is some vocal dissatisfaction in the CCS system by fans who prefer the NCS set divisions. But they typically want one system for certain schools and another system for certain schools. Truth is, no system is going to make everyone happy.

That was weird pushing them down a division. CVC should clearly be in D1, and both CN & MC should be in D2 and would still be the favorites.
