NCS D3 Bracket

Salesian and everyone else... My beloved Campo Cougs should run face-first into the Pride in the final, get blown out, then head on to NorCal D3... Maybe Drake is a threat, I dunno... They have some pretty good wins, but a few not-so-great losses.

Salesian should have practically zero trouble rolling into the NorCal Open...

But all that's on paper, still gotta play the games and ya never know...

Probably the worse divisions in NCS. Actually there is no probably about it. Salesian will not be challenged.

Campo is a solid team, but Salesian's is on a whole new level right now.

That team is so in tune with each other, and they have the talent to back it up.

These games in D3 NCS will all be a warm up for their California Open Division games.

2 more MCAL teams #3) Drake & #4) San Rafael go down in upsets to #6) Albany and #12) Hayward, as well as #7) San Marin getting blasted by #2) Campo 82-39.

For people that have been keeping up with nor cal high basketball for a while, when was the last time the 1st seed was a more overwhelming favorite in a bracket then Salesian this year?

This bracket is the biggest argument I've ever seen for having an NCS open division

If you can't remember a situation like this, you're hurting your argument that an open bracket is needed.

For the record, I like the idea of an open bracket and for the fans it would be great.

I'm not making an argument, I clearly don't know enough about this. I'm just saying that if my team was the 2nd seed in a bracket like this, I'd be pretty disappointed. Not saying that it justifies an open division, I don't feel strongly either way about it.

Who in NCS can even be on the same court with Salesian this year? Who? I would say maybe BOD can step on the court but no other team can come within 15 points of Salesian, D1, D2, D3 or D4.

D3 is pretty bad this year but O'Dowd can beat Salesian. I really hope that game happens. SPSV only lost by 2, 10 & 17 and they are only a #2 seed in D4. Not many but a few definitely can give them a game. They are not the Salesian of past years with Simmons, Artis, Brown or the Bird years. It's still HS Bball. 1 off night & anyone can be beaten. I'd be intrigued by a Modesto Christian rematch also.

Like I said BOD but no one else. St Pat-St Vince is getting further away each game. First -2 now-17. The issue isn’t are they the best Salesian ever it’s more like this year’s NCS as a whole has nothing for them. And Modesto Christian is in another Section. We don’t need an Open Division this year in NCS just schedule BOD vs Salesian and get it over with. And a few can give them a game? Is a few more then BOD? Name them?

BOD can absolutely beat them. They have 3 excellent guards and 2 very underrated wings. Now that Their big is back, I wouldn't be surprised if they beat Salesian.
As far as other teams go, every year the opening round games are super competitive and can go either way. Also, the game vs Modesto was a good game most of the way. MC, Sheldon, Folsom and CC (when motivated and focused), and BOD can easily win NorCal this year and I wouldn't be surprised if any of them take the crown. I'd even throw in bellarmine. Very well coached. Good showing last year and an excellent group again this year. I'll go back to what the Legend said; this isn't the NBA where they play a series to decide a winner. Salesian is the best team in NorCal imo but it's way closer than people realize. My personal opinion is that Sheldon or BOD will represent the North in the state final. Regardless, it'll be fun to watch.

The recent discussion is about having an Open Division in the North Coast Section like the Open Section. The recent discussion was not about the Annual NotCal Open Division like we have every year.

An NCS Open Division would only have Salesian, BOD, CVC, Dublin, Heritage, Berkeley, Las Lomas, Moreau or St. Pat-St Vince as eligible teams to play. As a whole not much competition for Salesian.
