I might me in the minority here but I think for the most part, NCS did a nice job with the seeding and the right teams in the open Divison & D1. Pitt is deserving of the open and I am sure some people are saying Pitt lost to the #2 seed Freedom and MV lost to the #1 seed DLS, so why did they take Pitt? Pitt is a better team, tougher schedule and more deserving. Everyone in the EBAL new they were going to be in a 10 team league now with Dougherty (as bad as any team I have seen this year with the exception of Las Lomas) and Dublin (not far behind Dougherty), so they have two options, improve your non league game or games and opt out of the DLS game and schedule teams like Pitt & Freedom and not Deer Valley.

Friday Night's game: I was at the DLS & Monte Vista game. I have been saying all year, it's about the adjustments made at halftime, well DLS coaches made adjustments and Monte Vista and Bergman did not and you could tell. Robinson was a man among boys out there with 4 touchdowns and Monte Vista, which has been clueless on defense for years, still made no changes in how to slow down the Spartans attack. Haener looked off and struggled trying to attack the bend but don't break Spartans defense. 12-33 and 2 ints for the Washington bound QB, that's not what you need to win, big players play big in big games and I think the Div 1 bracket is the only place this team has a chance to win it all, not in the open. Spartans had over 300 yards rushing in the 2nd half, come on MV/Bergman, do you job and put your players in the best position to win, you failed at this.

Saturday: I attended what I thought was going to be the game of the week and yet another disappointment. There was no hangover from Pitts tough loss against Freedom and they took it out on a very poorly coach Antioch team that was unprepared and over matched against Galli and is Pirates. Thompson was the best running back on this day by far with well over 200 yards and 5 touchdowns and Kuka was also on his game with over 350 yards and 3 or 4 touchdowns. Harris well held to under 70 yards and was a non factor on both sides of the ball and especially in the 2nd half. Antioch has been a HUGE disappointment this year, blow out losses to Milpitas, Freedom and now Pittburg, it's hard to believe this team received a #2 seed over Cal High, if they didn't have the nations #1 recruit/player, there is no way this team get or deserves a top 5 seeding, that's my opinion. Lucido, it get a once in a lifetime player and because of poor coaching, play calling, game planning, breaking down of film and horrible 2nd half adjustments, you have just blew your golden egg opportunity and are very lucky to be seeded where you are. Galli proves time and time again why he is one of the best football coaches in our game today, in my opinion and Congrats to him and his Pirates, your team is always ready to play and you are a class act all the way.
