NCS Open question

OK folks.

Marin Catholic beat Cardinal Newman tonight.

Does MC stay in Div IV, going in as the top seed, or does MC go to the Open? MC has the only win over Bishop Montgomery this, who is the top ranked D IV team in the state.

However, with the likes of Monta Vista, De La Salle, El Cerrito and Bishop O'Dowd, does MC have to stay in D 4. I don't believe MC fits the criteria, but I don't know.

Speaking of I don't know, I don't this: If MC goes to the Open, does the NCS get to add another team to Division IV. In talking with someone, if the answer is yes, does the highest seeded team who was eliminated from the quarters go in. Like I said, I don't know and I don't want to cause problems.

If no one knows, I won't get mad. If someone knows and can point out the site where the rule is explained, that would be a great help.

Thanks.

I think MC is going D4 and they should want to go D4. BOD is going to win Open. MC has a great shot at winning D4

I don't see how MC goes to the open, their only shot is staying in D4

No way would MC go to Open. You are more likely to get hit by lightning. They are a legit contender to be a Norcal champ in D4. The win against Bishop Monty might be the best win in School History if you think about Bishop Montgomery was top 10 in nation and #1 in CA. Also Bishop Monty plays Etiwanda tnite for Open SS Champ so I have to believe Bishop Montgomery will not be in D4. (thank god). Didn't they play in D3 last year and beat Moreau by like 40 in the state title game?

I still think NCS has 4 legit teams that can win Norcal. (MC, St Pats, St Mary's, and Newman) There isn't that much that separates these teams. I've seen Liberty Ranch and Capital Christian. Not that impressed. SHP on the other hand is for real.
