in another battle for the ages against Marin Catholic it was the leg of Newman’s kicker that was the deciding factor. Young man hit a 47 and 34 yarder in a monsoon and wind. Sign that kid up!

Hats off to both of these programs. Two of the best in all of NorCal. Coach Cronin gets win 200 as well. Wasn’t a great game for Newman in terms of turnovers and penalties but it was enough.

I’ve heard rumblings of Mack for NorCal? Not sure. Gotta figure Newman SOS will be a big help but Mack is loaded with speed and talent.

I got lucky. Newman has a college level kicker that Alabama would love to have. I thought it would be low scoring. MC has a great program. They made some good adjustments after half

MC crowd deserves kudos. They were so loud. Responsible for several fall starts. Newman wasn’t sharp at all. Needs to clean it up. Cronin was very emotional. That coin flip still stings. Hope the dream season continues.

Congrats to placer on a great season. Ran the table up until the end after Newman game. Most thought it would be a little of a down year. Not in placer country!

Newman gets a home game against Los Gatos. I know much bigger school but doesn’t look like they played much comp. (exception of Wilcox) What is scouting?

You were right. MC did a good job of keeping Nunnally out of the end zone though. Defensively you guys were outstanding.

The difference in this game was Newman's ability to pass. Although the weather played to MC's strengths they were unable to pass for any level of success negating the swing passes to Perez. Newman QB accounted for 327 of 334 total yards in the game for CN.
