Ngata - Clemson Spring Game

Long ways away from the season, but Joe Ngata is already fitting in as some of us thought he would.

Still don’t understand the naysayers thinking he’s not fast enough to play WR. So silly.

It’s sounding more and more like he’ll have a nice role with the defending champs right away.

Yeah I'm not the least bit surprised. People focus a lot on things like 40 times but don't look at the entire package. The kid is 6"4 215 with great hands and physicality of a TE. He obviously has a great work ethic as well and is highly motivated. I always thought I was watching a future pro at Folsom. Going to be fun to see him play on Saturday's this year.

That makes it all the more amazing that DLS completely shut him down.

Yeah but I've seen plenty of future pros in hoops, baseball, and football have bad games or get taken out of there zone. One of the least impressive pro's Ive seen in person was Erik Armsted when he was at PG. Well he's made a nice career in NFL although personally I don't think he's all that good. Browning had horrible games and DLS and look at the career he had at UW. He set basically every passing record. (although last year he really faded) Now he has Trevor Lawrence throwing to him and future pro's all over the field.

Perhaps the point is how good DLS coaching is to take non-prospects and shutdown D1 guys?

There are 11 players on each side of the field and you don't always beat you guy or the scheme against you.

Getting back to Joe, the Spring Game was impressive to make that kind of impact as well as being an early enrollee.

Looking forward to watching him play this fall
