At 10 a.m. today, a soccer field on the Burlingame bayfront was filled with dozens of unmasked club lacrosse players engaged in a full scrimmage. According to the latest Bay Area pandemic lockdown rules, everything about this affair was in knowing violation of those health/safety mandates. The event went blissfully along without so much as a hint of concern. In the words of former KNBR talk show host Gary Radnich, "Nobody cares."

Why should anybody care? The science says 99% survival rate is there really a concern? We now have a vaccine , therapeutics, and a better understanding of who is at risk and who isn’t.
Good for them. It’s outside. Why should they care when there’s nothing to care about? There is no “science” that’s proves that is not safe.
You are probably correct. The horse is out of the barn. People under the age of 60 are doing pretty much whatever they want at this point. There's no going back without teeth in the rules. And, since the authorities who make the rules flaunt those same rules, what's the point of worrying about it anymore? It's every man for himself. Thank goodness for Netflix and Amazon Prime. Being a hermit is no bargain but at least there's program streaming to pass some of the time.
Yes. It was wonderful to watch them scrimmaging while others abide by the rules and remain dormant, frustrated and displeased.
You people are really deranged. You can’t handle some kids playing OUTSIDE where they are at completely safe. You have tens of millions crammed into the malls, Walmart, Home Depot and Costco and you can’t handle some kids running around in the fresh air.
what wal mart or costco you go to? there is a line to get in the ones in san leandro. nobody is crammed. and you have on a mask and arent touching and breathing directly on one another like you are out at lax. at least i think you do since i have never actually seen a lax game.
