With the season on the brink of cancellation, who are your picks?

If he had played a full season and wasn't in and out of the line up Bagley would probably be my choice he is a very skilled player .I would also have to say bryce monroe as well as anthony roy who had a huge senior year would have to be in the mix.

I agree with you, but Bagley is still my 1st choice given his overall body of work from preseason, Sections, and in Nor Cal’s. Can’t argue against Monroe or Roy as they had great seasons. Others for first team would include Bunch and either Xavion Brown or Josh Williams. Silva is maybe

I am not considering anyone from Prep schools.

Mahaney is clear first team.

If you include entire season including recent NorCal performances - it's Mahaney over Bunch.

Bagley hands down mvp “when he played”
Love mahaney. Gamer.

Sad to think some of these seniors played there last hs game ever without maybe realizing it. For most they will never play in college and on this sort of stage again. I guess it’s small in comparison to our health but it’s a bummer.

Wait a second, I thought Isa was your sacbee player of the year? How can he be over Isa but Isa is better in Sacramentoo_O?? Confusing

“When he played” key words. Took a lot of nights off so do you knock him? I like guys who suit up ever night.

Who will win the award or who would I vote for aren't exactly the same thing.
I would vote for Isa or Mahaney. Both are more valuable to their teams than Bagley. Who is the media and clowns like J.Davidson in love with? Bagley.

Disagree with the Bagley assessment, although Sheldon 2-9 players were very good. Isa not my choice as he didn’t lead his team to any notable playoff wins even after dropping to D2. Mahaney had great season and a good section run, but got over shadowed by their big man coming down the stretch.

Aidan scores 29 points against Salesian in the Norcal semifinals, 15 in the 4th quarter, singlehandedly defeating the Pride; and you feel he was overshadowed? Damn En4cr, you have high standards...

2-9 players were very good.. yeah like all will play in college at some level. It’s not even close when you look at talent they had. Mahaney, Monroe, Silva. Take your pick. Mahaney Performance against Salesian was one for ages

Bagley at Dublin was a performance. In a bigger game at that. Smh your all over the place. Just have to think more and post less.

Roy takes himself out of conversation based on NCS open performance vs Odowd. Tough to put it all on one game but he was terrible..not just bad game... terrible on biggest stage of season.. can’t be POY

Beasley should be in the conversation.

Led DV to first regular season EBAL Mountain Division Title and first NCS Open Bid in school history. The team was undefeated in league prior to Beasley's injury.

By the numbers,
Beasley led team with 23.3 ppg, 7.6 rebounds, 2.6 steals and 3 assist per game.

Beasley shot 54% from the field and 86% from the line.

Beasley showed up against the toughest teams throughout the season.

He scored 31 and had 8 rebounds against Dela
He scored 32 and had 10 rebounds against SRV
He scored 26 and had 5 assists against Granada
He scored 31 and 8 rebounds against San Leandro
He scored 30, with 11 rebounds and 5 assists in championship game against Davis.
He scored 27 and had 5 assists against Weston Ranch.

Season high 40 points and scored over 25 points in more than half of the games. He scored in double figures in 19 of 20 games. Beasley was highly efficient in scoring and took less than 14 shots per game.

Yea pops I agree he showed out. He was money all season without much help. He deserves to be at the table for this discussion.

Both were NorCal semis and both were great performances. Sure Bagley’s was in the Open division, but I’d say Aiden’s was even more impressive.

Campo beating Salesian at Salesian after losing to them earlier in the year and not matching up with them on paper well at all was as impressive as any win this season by anybody. Salesian came into that game playing incredibly well. Winners of 16 out of 19 (3 losses all state ranked teams 0dowd, centennial, chaminade).

None of us have any say in the voting so it’s all for banter but mahaney will leave a much more legendary mark on hs hoops in NorCal than Bagley (already has). He’s my guy. Will be be a better college player? Don’t know. Many think Silva could have highest ceiling.

what would have been great to see is Bagley on big stage against SC. He went “casper the ghost” last year as a jr at times during that game. same level athletes and size. We will never know.

Where is he playing at in college?

well that is an interesting choice. maybe down the line... but this year he definitely wasnt the best out there.

Carter is the NAU commit. He will be a fine player there. I was referring to Aidan who has big time offers as a soph. Weird though he hasn’t been offered by the school you can throw a rock too. Christ Randy Bennett kid is on the team. Let’s go gaels. Wake up. He would be a great player in that system.

It’s my understanding Randy has made it clear to Aiden it’s there if he wants it.

I think it’s clear Aiden can go any school on the west coast he chooses

Here is my running list for Player of the Year:

Marcus Bagley Sheldon
Robby Beasley Dougherty Valley
Je'Lani Clark Riordan
Aidan Mahaney Campolindo
Mike Mitchell Mitty
Bryce Monroe Riordan
Marsalis Roberson Bishop O'Dowd
Anthony Roy Dublin
Josh Williams Sheldon

Bagley was the best player on the team that made back to back open appearances and won a Northern California Open championship and may have won two but for the cancellation, in his only two seasons in the area.

Campo winning the state open would be a legendary mark for Mahaney to leave. I just do not see that happening. And any Southern California Open Champion in the Bronny James era is going to be loaded. SC would have blown Campo out this year and the year before. Etiwanda would have blown them out this year too.

Bagley accomplished a lot.

Campo has 2 Div 1 Guards Salesian has zero D1 Offers. They match up very well on paper,, IMO Silva is little overrated. Got shut down by Xavion Brown & was average in D2 Playoffs. He’s also a Holdback.

Salesian has 6”9 and 6”8 bigs who create nightmare matchups. Campo had no answers for sawyer. Don’t be fooled by lack of offers on Salesian side. They have some under recruited kids who will play d1. Shane bell is a heck of a player who can play in big sky.
Doesn’t matter. Season over. This sucks

Great point! Salesian has 'pedigree' but Campo actually had the offers. So really it was a good match up then. Silva dissapeared at the biggest stages of the season. Kind of like Curry on game winning shots.
