The 9th annual Nor Cal Summer Tip Off will be held Friday and Saturday July 13-14 at Jamtown in Oakland. It will be held during the first summer NCAA live period. It is open to teams from high school and AAU programs and individual players in all high school grades (including graduated seniors).

The event is designed to provide all players an opportunity to demonstrate their talents/skills in highly competitive games for the college coaches, scouts, and media expected to attend. A report on the event will be done by the Hoop Review scouting service that will be sent to college coaches and various internet sites.

Cost is $595.00 per team. Multiple (3 or more) team discounts are available. Every team will play four games (two each day). To register go to hoopreview.net and click on Paypal at the top. For more information contact the tournament director, Gerry Freitas at 408-998- 1327 or email: gerryfreitas@hotmail.com.

Agreed... Ridiculously high price compared to other showcases like this I've seen.

I hope nobody signs up at that price...

Geez... seems like I've seen a lot of these things with $300-400 fees.

they shoot up to $700 range during the NCAA viewing period; they are around $400 during non-view period

The new top 40 is losing creditably everyday! Having kids listed who can’t make it off the bench...really! Kids not playing on the circuit moving up the ranks...really! Kids not competing for a spot to make a circuit team get rewarded instead of exposed ...really!
Don’t rank kids without seeing them play is my suggestion! Otherwise this is just a popularity contest which is already out of control and does not help kids that actually put in the work and grades btw!
This is outrageous!!

I'm not sure why this was posted here, but I will respond. Just because you don't agree with the ranking doesn't mean players aren't being seen or it is a popularity contest. And just because you are on the "circuit" doesn't mean a player is good.

If there is a player that is missed on and you want to have a discussion, then I'm all for it. Throwing out reasons that are non-basketball related does nothing.
