The best freshman in Sacramento and probably Northern California is Earvin Knox at Burbank. The ball will be in his hands from Day 1. Had a great summer!

916, what are knox's skills, of whom does his game remind you?...any idea of how serious a student he is at this time?

This is going to be the guy (2019). Pierre Crockrell. Old School type PG. Leader, vocal, high IQ, team player, and extremely high character. He is a pleasure to watch play if you enjoy watching true leaders at the PG Position that act like coaches on the floor. He led his AAU team to U16 Adidas Super 64 Championship. He also played 17U EYBL as well (and played well). Just lately, he was selected as the 2nd Youngest player to ever play in the Famous Drew League in Los Angeles (behind only Baron Davis).

916, what are knox's skills, of whom does his game remind you?...any idea of how serious a student he is at this time?

He's a big, physical, playmaking point guard. His handle is out of this world. Very good passer and very good rebounder. Can score the ball when needed but a much better playmaker and facilitator. Very physical and an excellent defender. He started 16U EYBL for the same program that Moorehead played 15U.

That's actually incorrect there's a 16U EYBL that participates in each session. Just not as highly publicized but still very competitive. Memorial Day weekend they play in ATL instead of Minnesota. They have finals at Peach Jam as well, with the top 16 teams advancing. The Georgia Stars won both the 16U and 17U division this year. Both kids played for Team Vegas who filled the 16s slot for Northwest Xpress.

I stand corrected, there used to only be an accompanying 16U tournament with each session that were merely Peach Jam qualifiers but looks like they've upgraded that process to have more structure like the 17U.
