Echoing the post I just put up in the boys' side:

Mr. Oddsmaker says:

Open: Mitty 1-point favorite (tossup, really... USA ranks 5 and 6)
D1: Carondelet 1-point favorite
D2: Caruthers 6-point favorite
D3: Marin Catholic 12-point favorite
D4: Half Moon Bay 11-point favorite
D5: Rosamond 2-point favorite

So, if my prognostications (guesses, really) come true, NorCal takes 10 of 12.

As David Letterman said many times... "Please, no wagering!"

I think Mitty is in very tough against Etiwanda.

And Carondelet will have to bring its A game to win -- which it did not do Tuesday.

I think Etiwanda was on cruise control all season.

Friends in socal said there were games where Knox from Etiwanda looked bored and in some games shot nothing but 3s. Literally stood outside the 3pt line and just fired up 3s.

Etiwanda has been thru the wars and were waiting for the playoffs...

-8.5 for Etiwanda is fair IMO

Sage Hill has 11 loses..

Clet 6 losses...with THREE of the 6 to the the NCS Open champ SRV. The last time CLET lost to somebody that wasn't SRV was 1/3 and that was Etiwanda who's about to win the Open title.

No sandbagging allowed ClayK. This game is a pick em at least and I (personally) would have CLET as a slight favorite. Best chance Coach Sopak has ever had for his state championship he's been chasing for yrs.

We have advantages. They have advantages.

We lost to Moreno Valley. They beat Moreno Valley.

We're deeper. Their best player is better than anyone we have.

They've played a tougher schedule. We're closer to home.

But, as always in state championship games, you have to play smart and make some shots.

We're hoping for the best.
