  • (#2) De La Salle @ (#1) Archbishop Riordan
The stage is set for Tuesday night at the Crusader Forum. Who you got? Why? Keys to the game?

One decision that should not go unnoticed was Curtin yanking Emeneke early on in the 3rd after some bonehead decisions. In a super tight match up, Curtin could ill-afford to have players make mistakes and benched him pretty much for the rest of the game. What a luxury to sit your 6'10 center and bring in a 6'9 backup.

Riordan should win this one probably by 10 as I dont think DLS will find enough offense vs Riordan's relentless D. They are very few lapses on defense which was an issue on previous Riordan teams. No so this year. That will carry them IMO to Golden 1.

Agree 100 Percent. The 6 "9" Back up is a better player and his defensive presence helped win that game. He just needs to learn its ok not to try and dunk everything. I have seen him miss a lot of dunks this year trying to dunk on people instead of just catching the ball and putting it the hoop. De la Salle's offense won't be able to keep up. It will be fun to watch Blair and Rencher go at it.

Anyone know about tickets for this game? When I get on GoFan the game doesn't appear in either a De La Salle search or Riordan. I can get the Mitty/Clovis West girls game. Is this sold out already?

Was told noon today.

Kinda think they should have went on sale yesterday

Get there 30 min before tip off otherwise you might not get in on time

and still no link for tickets a little more than 24 hours out from the tip off.

Know I'm preaching to the choir on this forum but this game should be held at a JUCO or University gym with plenty of seating. Riordan's gym is great but it's a royal pain to get in as it bottlenecks on the ingress and in the past they haven't been set up to handle large crowds - maybe they are better equipped now than in year's past. Ridiculous that tickets aren't yet available yet. I assume there are private links for the schools but I would expect an instant sell out and anyone not affiliated with one of the schools to be shut out.

*At LEAST 30 minutes before. I got there Saturday maybe 40 minutes early... Got in before the game started, but not by much.

I have an idea there were people starting to line up 90 minutes before...

I didn't wait for the link (still not there, btw) for either this or the Lincoln game, am going to the Mitty game.

Riordan's school website announced yesterday that tickets would be available on GoFan at noon today.
We can thank the CIF for changing the NorCal Finals venues to the higher seeds' home court a few years back. Riordan's staff did a great job Saturday night adding floor seats and setting up a Student Section SRO area behind one of the baselines to accomodate more people. Parking tonight may be dicey with City College night classes, but there is a pay parking lot at City and free parking in the surrounding neighborhood. But agree with @kiddman32 , fans with tickets should arrive no later than an hour before tipoff.

Tickets are sold out I just saw 3 min ago on Riordans Instagram.

Makes no sense. I have been on gofan all day and tickets were never released.

apparently there was a presale link sent to the AD of both schools and it sold out in 2 hours.

Riordan has the better athleticism, and is the more talented team, but DLS is so disciplined. I do think Riordan gives the North the best chance to win the Open title vs the South representative , hoping ARHS wins it

Sure I'll come back to regret posting this but I think that NorCal has a better chance against SoCal this year than in the recent past. I don't see either Roosevelt or Sherman Oaks as being that much better than either Riordan or DLS . Still will be an upset but at least I expect for them to be competitive this year.

While I agree they are closer to them than they have been in the past, Riordan will have major issues with Burriss on Roosevelt and Stokes on ND(SO). If I’m Riordan, I’m starting 21 and having him guard Stokes because at least he can match his size and physicality.

I’m disappointed I didn’t get a ticket tonight. Really sucks, maybe in future they can move it to a larger venue

After watching the Socal teams over the last couple weeks, I also think NorCal has a decent chance for the upset.
